Gettin’ Painted, Laydie!

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to review some mineral make-up from my friend Jenn over at Painted Laydies Mineral Make-Up as well as the most adorable diaper bag I’ve ever seen from her selection at Mama Bags.
I have tried mineral make-up before from some other places and quite honestly, didn’t like it. It felt heavy & stiff on my face. But when I used Jenn’s foundation, it felt light and airy and covered perfectly! My husband even commented that he liked it and it looks really good!
Jenn send me two shades of the foundation and several samples of eye color and lip color.
I sort of had a three bears moment with the foundation. The light shade was a smidge too light but still looked great and the medium was a smidge too dark. Soooooo, unlike with cream make-ups, I mixed them! I have a dispenser brush and I went mainly with the light foundation and added a touch of the medium and ended up with the perfect shade for my complexion! YAY!!!!
Now, I have the oddest eye color. You can’t call them blue, but their not green or hazel either. They are dark blue on the outside edges and lighten to a green with golden brown around the pupils. And depending on my mood or if I’m sick, they change between dark blue and light green. FREAKY! hahaha. So I never really know what colors of shadow to wear and usually stick with wines and plums that will blend with my blush.
WELL! Miss Jenn sent me this sample of a golden color and WOW! That stuff is awesome! It really brought each color out in my eyes. I couldn’t believe it! And it didn’t feel weighted on my eye lids either. It applied very easily and stayed on all day. I used the other colors she sent me as well to blend and highlight my eyes and I have to tell you, I was thrilled with the results!
I have always had trouble wearing certain brands of make-up. I break out horribly if I use any really high-end (from the mall) brands of cosmetics. But I didn’t not break out AT ALL with the Painted Laydies! I have been testing it for a week now and my skin looks and feel great!

Now, for Mama Bags. I DESPERATELY needed a new diaper bag. The one I have is in mint condition but is big and more for traveling or when we will be away for several hours. So I wanted something, young and vibrant and just the right size. AND I FOUND IT! Jenn sent me a bright green Gingham check bag. It is SO DARLING! Oh my goodness this thing is awesome. It has a changing pad that can either fold out from the bag or be removed. It is huge too. My daughter is 16 months old and fits wonderfully on the pad. The diaper bag has lots of room , lot’s of pockets and it even comes with a bag for soiled clothes and a little pouch for small things. This bag goes with us everywhere! I love it, love it, love it!!!!!
Thank you SO much Jenn. Your sites and products will be HIGHLY reccomended by The Cinnamon Hollow.
TWO huge thumbs up my friend!

~*~A Note about the owner of these wonderful sites~*~:
Jenn Brockman is a licensed cosmetologist and has been an artist her whole life. Color and the combinations of color, are her creative outlet in life along with dance and music.

After losing several family members to cancer she began researching non toxic living and chemical free products. Those things don’t exactly go along with the hair and nail industry so it took lots of study but she founded Painted Laydies Mineral Makeup out of this need and her love of the beauty industry.

Mineral Makeup and products not containing chemical preservatives and artificial colorants are now a big part of her life. She creates, manufactures and maintains her retail and wholesale products and websites as well as being a single working mother.

This last summer she began a new aspect of the Painted Laydies LLC. Projects that was sparked by research done to aquire makeup bags for the retail mineral makeup business. She found so many types and styles of bags that it was hard to pick just one, so she decided to buy them all and offer them for sale to the work at home community at prices they could actually afford.
Mama Bags was born and launched and offers consultant opportunities to anyone willing to promote the products.

Jenn was diagnosed with a condition called Fibromyalgia after being hit by a drunk driver in 2004. It is a sometimes debilitating, but not life threatening condition. Although both disorders are misunderstood and often wrongly diagnosed, she continues to be an advocate for both Fibromyalgia and Austism which her youngest daughter was recently diagnosed with.
