We have been testing the Twinlab® Marine Friends™ Children’s Omega-3 Powder. Each stick is one serving and can be dispensed into basically any food or drink. I was really skeptical about there being no taste and if my children would notice it or not. They are very picky about what’s added to their food so I wanted to test it without telling them to see if they mentioned an off taste. But because I won’t give my kids something I, myself, wouldn’t use I tasted it first to see for myself. I first mixed it in apple juice and did notice a slight taste and after taste similar to a multi-vitamin. It didn’t dissolve completely in the juice so I suggest adding it to something a little more textured like applesauce instead. It’s much better and less noticeable. The kids noticed a slight taste but said it was “OK” and that they did notice a slight taste. Not too bad coming from picky eaters!
As with any dietary and fish oil supplements, there are cautions on the box so always consult your physician first if you are going to use it yourself and are pregnant or breastfeeding or the child using it has certain medical conditions. Use at your own risk.

Earlier this month we were selected for the Oscar Mayer Thrill of the Grill House Party. This coincided perfectly with our daughter’s first birthday so we transformed her flower/butterfly/luau in a Hot Diggity Dog Luau 1st Birthday! (That’s a mouthful!)
Oscar Mayer Selects and Premium Angus Hot Dogs are extremely delicious and made the perfect party food. The Selects beef hot dogs have a great beefy taste without being overpowering like a lot of beef hot dogs. In all honesty, I never cared for beef hot dogs but I tried the Oscar Mayer Selects and REALLY loved them! The Premium Angus hot dogs have more of a smoked sausage texture and they are outstanding as well! All of our party guests really enjoyed the hot dogs and sides that we had. And Oscar Mayer selects contain no Nitrates or Nitrites except those occurring naturally in celery juice so they are a better alternative to other hot dogs and franks. This will be the ONLY brand of hot dog we purchase from now on!
For our party, we received the best party pack containing Oscar Mayer soft balls, wiener whistles, and frisbees for the kids, free hot dogs, tongs, pot holders and a bottle of Heinz catsup for the host and Heinz coupons for the party guests as well as plates and napkins. We added to the soft balls, whistles and frisbees and created goody bags for the kids with Kung Zhu Zhu Pets (more about these coming later), punch balloons, leis, custom wrapped candy bars, mini bubbles and yo-yo’s. I also created dipped marshmallows for everyone. After we ate, the kids enjoyed cupcakes, the adults enjoyed a sheet cake and the Birthday Girl enjoyed her Giant Cupcake baked in the Wilton Dimensions Cake pan.
It was a great day and I can’t believe my baby is already one year old! Thanks to House Party and Oscar Mayer for making our birthday party extra special.

For our daughters first birthday, we knew we wanted a birthday banner that was feminine looking, yet sturdy and well made.
