Kroger and General Mills are teaming up with TV’s The Biggest Loser for the Pound for Pound Challenge.

For every pound you pledge to lose through June 30, 2010, the Pound For Pound Challenge will donate 14¢ to Feeding America® — enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank. $1,080,000 maximum donation. http://www.pfpchallenge.com/About.aspx

Here’s how you can help:

  • Visit www.pfpchallenge.com/Kroger to make your pledge to lose weight and to get more information and to find tools to change your life for the better. It is free, easy and only takes a minute to make a change that can help you and help the hungry in your local community.
  • Through June 30, 2010, for every pound you pledge to lose, the Pound For Pound Challenge will donate 14¢ to Feeding America® — enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a local food bank.

As the official supplier of the Biggest Loser Ranch and partner of the Pound for Pound Challenge, the Kroger Family of Stores wants to help you achieve your goals. If you’re a fan of the Biggest Loser, you may have seen several great General Mills products featured on the show.     I pledged to lose 14 lbs. I am currently at 144lbs and would like to drop to 130lb and stay steady from there.
    My biggest tips are to watch your sugar intake, and equally important, don’t eat in the 2 hours before you go to bed!

    I pledged to lose 5 (of fat, and gaining muscle). Honestly I am genetically thin-but-that is not necessarily a good thing. Because I never had to watch my weight I ate whatever I wanted, but though you wouldn’t know it to look at me, I was borderline diabetic.
    My best tip would be to eat a healthy breakfast every morning, not just coffee and a donut which could lead to sugar crashes later in the day.
