Shout Fall Play Product Review. Shout those stains out!

Growing Tree Toys focuses kids playtime through their vast assortment of learning toys. They also know that playtime can get messy and have teamed up with Shout laundry products  to  spread the word that while playtime can get messy, the last thing we need to worry about is stains. Instead, let’s focus on playing with our kids and enjoying this great fall weather and outdoor fall activities!

I received a sampling of Shout products for review and I put them to the test. First, we enjoyed an early Halloween costume party complete with tons of snacks and the ever-delicious chocolate fountain. Let me be the first to tell you that those fountains are MESSY! Drippy, yummy chocolate covered goodness. Needless to say the chocolate found it’s way onto many shirts. And while I love the Shout Advanced Gel, I wasn’t sure it would get all that chocolate out. The pictures above show the chocolate stain after it had dried several hours, the stain covered in Shout Advanced Gel and the last two pictures show the clean, dry (although wrinkled) shirt. STAIN FREE! Even on completely dried chocolate it took the stain out. Let me emphasize  this a little. For a chocolate fountain, when you use regular chocolate chips, you add vegetable oil to help it stay thin enough to flow. Quite a bit of vegetable oil too. Like 1/4 cup or more! So the Shout Advance not only took regular chocolate out, it took out extra oily chocolate. Amazing!

The Shout Color Catcher sheets are also amazing. I wore black yoga pants as part of my Vampire costume and ended up having to wash them with our light colored sheets after the baby’s wet diaper leaked. Both needed to be washed at the same time and I figured that was the perfect time to test the color catcher sheets. The photos below show the clean sheet after washing with the black pants and the second photo shows the black pants along with a clean color catcher and the used one. I hope you can see the differences in their color. it definitely picked up some color bleeding and my sheet was left it’s same pretty tan color while the pants stayed a night dark black. (Our lighting is horrible so I hope you can make out the colors.) Click on thumbnails to enlarge.

We also had a wonderful time decorating pumpkins and the yard. We don’t have many leaves yet so raking those will be an activity for later in the season, along with hayrides and bonfires and apple bobbing. I can’t wait!

The last product to test was the regular Shout Spray. I didn’t get photos of this but I use it regularly in my weekly washing. With 4 kids we have plenty of stains and the Shout spray gets used on at least one piece in every load. The Shout Advance Gel is saved for the really tough stains. Along with my products I received a  52 Nature Activities card set which can also be purchased at Amazon.com.
