I am not a music aficionado but I know what I like and I know what makes me happy. So I was thrilled to receive a copy of “Tiger Suit” for review.  KT Tunstall has just released her newest album, Tiger Suit, available October 5 in the US and Canada. This album is filled with songs that while the lyrics might not be totally upbeat, the music definitely is. And the natural grit in KT Tunstall’s voice fits each song perfectly. She has a great, strong voice that is not too deep and not too high pitched. it is just right, nice and bluesy.

  1. SONG LIST:
  2. Uummannaq Song
  3. Glamour Puss
  4. Push That Knot Away
  5. Difficulty
  6. Fade Like A Shadow
  7. Lost Golden Frames
  8. Come On, Get In
  9. (Still A) Weirdo
  10. Madame Trudeaux
  11. The Entertainer

One of my favorite songs off the new album, “Difficulty”, is a bit slower and full of emotion. I fell in love with this song the very first time I heard it and play it over and over. It is beautiful. My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE song is “Come On, Get In”. It is upbeat and my daughters and I not only played it again and again, but we got up off our butts and danced throughout the entire song. You will not be able to sit through this song. You will get up and clap and dance and have a blast while you listen to it! At least we did. :0) Another fav is “Madame Trudeaux”. It is a cross between blues and rock and an awesome beat to it.

My least favorite was actually “Lost”. I’m not sure what about it I didn’t care for was exactly. It just wasn’t one that stuck with me. I just didn’t care for the music or the words in this song. Overall though, I really enjoyed the entire CD. It is one you can listen to anywhere you go, in the car or at home. The music, itself, lends a wonderful upbeat, happy feel and I love it!

You may have seen KT performing songs from her new album on Jay Leno on (10/5) and The Today Show on Friday (10/8). I missed them but you can probably find them online at the network websites if you’d like to look them up.
