Ceiva Connected Digital Photo Frames Review. Holiday Gift Idea.

The Ceiva Pro80 Connected Photo Frame is a great way to share photos with loved ones and stay in touch. Not only that, they bring your photos to life by taking them out of the boring old photo album and rotating them digitally in a beautiful photo frame. You can have a slideshow of all your favorite photos, Ceiva Channels and Galleries right in your living room. Or any other room, for that matter!

The Ceiva Pro80 Frame is extremely easy to set up. There is an onscreen menu and navigation buttons right on the frame. Just go through the menu selecting your options and you are good to go. You can insert your cameras memory card or USB cable to upload your photos onto your frame or if you subscribe to the PicturePlan service, you can share everything online! (You do need to subscribe to the Ceiva service via one of the plans – (see Holiday prices below) if you wish to share your photos) and register your frame online first. I also went online to the Ceiva website after setting up my frame to double check my settings because they are stored there for sharing when you are away from home as well. After it is registered, your frame can be connected to the internet in one of three ways.

With a PicturePlan Membership connects to the internet to retrieve your photos and you can set how often you want it to go online to check for new ones. The default is nightly but you can select anywhere from monthly to hourly. I currently have mine set to twice a day because I am uploading recent vacation photos. One feature that I absolutely LOVE is the ability to share photos with other Ceiva users. So if my mother-in-law had a Ceiva frame, I could send her an invitation to mine and we could share photos with each other. You can also share Ceiva Channels like weather, daily recipes, flower of the day, etc. and Ceiva Galleries like Holiday cards and custom greetings. And you can send them immediately OR schedule a send date. I’ve scheduled Thanksgiving and Christmas Greetings to appear on my frame the day of. Love that!

NOTE:

Does everyone who sends photos need PicturePlan service?

If you wish to connect, only one PicturePlan is needed per CEIVA frame to receive photos. You can invite any number of family and friends as your Guest to send photos to your frame for free! Mom can receive new photos from every member of the family.

Another plus is that you can send your photos directly from from smartphones, iPhone, email and sites like Flickr and Facebook. There are apps for each of these services! I am currently testing an Android phone for Verizon and am using the Ceiva app for Android! It works great.

While the price plans may seem a bit pricey at first, this does include your frame and regular prices average out to $6.95/month when paid annually and $9.95/month when paid monthly.
