While I don’t print as many shipping/mailing labels and postage as I did when I sold crafts, I do still print my fair share. I also do a lot of labeling, be it crafts and soapmaking supplies, baking supplies or school and kid items!

The DYMO LabelWriter 450 Duo is a gem when it comes to these tasks because it can do it all! Through the top slot, I can print either postage using Endicia or I can easily switch the labels and print shipping or address labels. There are several different sizes of label rolls you can purchase. The front slot prints regular file type labels which can be purchased in a variety of colors. These are perfect for my soapmaking supplies. I can name and date my specialty oils and other ingredients and keep up better with their shelf life. And if I’m making several batches of different scents, I can easily label and date them for curing time.

The label rolls are very easy to insert. And the front labels come in a tape format. Also easy to insert.

I’ve read a few onsite reviews that stated it broke a lot or was hard to find the correct label size. I actually have not had this problem at all. I’ve had no trouble creating labels or printing postage so I’m not sure about those complaints.

The only downside for me is that it only prints in black and white so I still have to print from my computer/software if I want colored ink for special labels.

While a bit pricey at $219.99, the DYMO LabelWriter 450 Duo will make a great gift for anyone that does a lot of labeling.
