If you are a fan of Food Network, you have undoubtedly heard of Panko Crumbs. Chef Michael Chiarello uses this crispy alternative to regular bread crumbs when he wants a crisp, crunchy coating. Progresso has added a new variety of Panko crumbs to it’s line: Lemon Pepper.

I happen to love Lemon Pepper on chicken. I’ve heard it also goes great on fish/seafood but I can’t eat seafood. I was able to try a sampling of Progresso Lemon Pepper Panko and created the most delicious baked chicken! And the great thing about these crumbs is that you can bake instead of frying and still have that nice crunch!

Visit the Progresso website for additional recipes, tips for cooking with panko, video and a coupon for $1 off any panko flavor.

Now, I know this is last minute but be sure to check out the Progresso’s Wine & Dine with Chef Michael Chiarello Sweepstakes. Now through December 31st, participants can enter for the chance to win a trip for two to Napa Valley to attend the Spring Bud Break Party, an annual dinner and wine tasting event taking place on May 7, 2011. In addition to two tickets to the party, the grand prize also includes roundtrip airfare and hotel accommodations. Visit www.progressobroth.com for the sweepstakes rules and entry form.

I’d love to make some kind of chicken with it.

I would probably make a breaded shrimp dish on a bed of rice.

    Johannah B says:

I think I would use the Panko in meatloaf instead of bread crumbs. Mainly because it’s corn free and most bread crumbs have high fructose corn in them.

I would like to try the herb roasted turkey with gravy recipe.

    Breaded fish, definitely1

I would use it for breaded fish.

I think I would do a baked chicken dish…first… and then a shrimp one. Both seem like they would work great with this product.
