For review is another great children’s book, “The Dragon and the Turtle Go on Safari” by Donita K. Paul and Evangeline Denmark.
“The Dragon and the Turtle Go on Safari” is a darling little story about two friends, Padraig the Dragon & Roger the Turtle, who go on an amazing backyard adventure. Throughout the story, the two discuss the various sounds they hear. And there are plenty. Padraig seems to become a little skittish but trusts his friend and his vast knowledge of all the animals around them and overcome his fears.
The story features words like “Fierce” and “Fantastic” and funny places like “Mount Sillymanborrow”. My kids LOVED the story and laughed each time Padraig said something like “Cheerio, right jolly good”. My older kids 7 – 11 loved it as much as my 4 year old so it is a great story for kids of different ages and I would personally recommend reading it to kids between 4 and 8 even though the oldest one likes it too.

You must be a great reader! I find the children appreciate this particular book more if the reader enters enthusiastically in the fun. My youngest grandson likes to the kitten roar like a leapard. One prize is camping gear and the other is matching parent/child aprons. We also have activity pages for kids and info pages for adults.
