Are you the parent of a tween? I am. And I’m beginning to notice changes. And I’m starting to freak out as a mommy a little bit! My baby is growing up!
Some of these changes though include new odors. The teachers at my kid’s school take an active role in helping tween adjust and learn about deodorant. They didn’t do this when I was a teenager but I do know that in one particular class where there is both a male and female teacher, the female teacher takes the girls aside and the male teacher takes the boys aside and they explain to them the importance of deodorant use and good hygiene. Then the kids come home begging the parent for deodorant so they don’t have “stinky pits”. WOW! That actually helps!
Someone else is helping to get the word out and help parent’s too. Unilever – the maker of Degree, Dove and Suave deodorants – wants to ensure parents and kids remain cool, calm and confident throughout the day – especially during those sweat-inducing moments. (Also called EVERYDAY LIFE as a teenager!)
The “Don’t Fret The Sweat” campaign features money saving offers and expert tips, tools and real life stories about how parents are communicating and transitioning their tweens into confident and self-reliant teens. Check out the Don’t Fret the Sweat Facebook Page and the widget below for more info.
I am participating in a One2One campaign and am eligible to win cool prizes. No monetary compensation was received for this post.
