I was recently given a wonderful mission to complete from the folks at Pampers and the Pampers Little Miracle Mission. I was sent a $50 AMEX gift card to be used to “pay it forward” to someone in my community + another to giveaway to one of you! I chose to use my gift card in two ways. That particular week, Postal Services across the nation were holding a Stamp Out Hunger drive to collect non-perishable food left beside our mailboxes. So for the first part of my mission, I purchased several boxes of instant brown rice, cereal, canned goods and more to leave for my mail carrier to pick up. Here are photos of just some of the items we donated.
For the second part of my mission, my husband and I decided to donate some Pampers diapers and infant formula to our local Community Action Center. We live in a small town and the Community Action is always seeking donations (monetary, food, clothing, etc.) to help local families in need. With the down economy and recent lay-offs, I know for a fact that there are families with new babies that could use a little help. My husband was laid off quite a bit over the last two years and if I can help a family out then I am more than happy to do my part! My computer semi-crashed last night, losing my precious files so I’ll have to get these photos off my phone again as they weren’t yet backed up.
In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others.
The brand recently kicked off the Little Miracle Missions campaign by delivering a giant act of support –donating care packages to Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across the country. Celebs Joey Lawrence , Ali Larter, Mark Consuelos and LaLa Anthony were on-hand in New York City to personally deliver a care package and thank you basket to Mt. Sinai Hospital and their staff.
Pampers also has a few ways for YOU to Pay it Forward!
You can easily participate in a small way by logging on to Pampers Facebook page (Facebook.com/Pampers) by hitting ‘like’ and then going to the Miracle Missions tab and committing to Mission 1 by clicking “I Want To Pledge.” Once more than 2,500 people pledge, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. As a side note, anyone who pledges is automatically entered to win a year’s supply worth of Pampers diapers and wipes (and that can definitely help someone in a big way!).
Now for the giveaway!
Pampers is offering a second $50 AMEX gift card to one of my readers to Pay it Forward in their own community.
Pampers would like to challenge you to find a way to celebrate, support or protect a new little miracle in your community by donating a $50 Visa Gift Card to you. What you do with that gift card is entirely up to you, but the challenge will be for you to decide its best use!
Some ideas is to use the money to purchase diapers for a family who could use them, use the money to prepare meals for a family, or even use the money to host a larger fundraiser for a family. Get creative and choose something unique!
The winner will be chosen a little bit differently for this giveaway. I will be having a poll from ALL entries and the one with the most votes will win. This giveaway has a short turn-around time so get your thinking caps on ad get your entry in quickly!
Entries close June 3 and votes will open the same day.
A $50 AMEX gift card was provided to facilitate this review and allow me to Pay it Forward in my community. Another is being provided for one reader to do the same. No monetary compensation was received.

A local church has been working to help people in Haiti. For $50, they can provide a “survival kit” for a family in Haiti. I would donate the funds to them.
I would donate the card to my local food bank. Thank you for this wonderful drawing!
I’d help out the local animal shelter.
I would send diapers and wipes and other baby needs to the Tornado victims in Joplin. My husband has family that lives just 10 miles from there and the devastation is awful. My husbands cousin recently took video and sent it to us and I can’t imagine what those people are going thru. Right now they need all the help they can get. Thanks for the opportunity to pay it forward!
