OH MY GOODNESS! Newton’s has a new cookie, the Newtons Fruit Thins made from whole grains (8 g per serving) and dried fruit and they are a-ma-zing! I’m not a huge cookie person, especially now with the weightloss program I am on, but these are delicious and not as bad for you as regular cookies. I took a sample bite so I could honestly write about them and then let my kids put them to the test. They LOVED them! Each child begged for more after their first cookie. WOW! My kids actually begged for a whole grain product! That never happens in my house. It was really hard to stop with just one bite myself. I really liked the flavor. They are pretty good sized cookies too as you can see in the photo below. She had already taken a bite and it was still as large as her hand!

Little One enjoying her cookie.
I received a package of the Cranberry Citrus Oat, pictured above. Each cookie is thin and crispy, made of whole grains, dried fruit and really packs the flavor. When I first opened the package, they had a lemony/citrusy scent. The initial bite tastes like an Animal Cracker followed by cranberry, citrus and the slightest hint of whole grain. And there is a LOT of fruit! You can see it on the front and back of each cookie and taste it in every bite. Our cookies had nice sized pieces of cranberry.

There’s not a whole lot to say other than they are ridiculously good, contain healthy ingredients for a cookie and are loved by my entire family.
If your children have a sweet tooth, like mine and are tired of only having fresh or dried fruit, you might like these Newtons Fruit Thins as an occasional alternative. They are lower in fat, high in fiber and just plain good!

I’ve heard about these and seen recipes for them, too. Have you tried making any recipes with them? Cheesecake….mmmmm!
@Rave and Review on Facebook, We literally just got them yesterday after a postal mix-up so I’ve only been able to try them right from the package but OMG a cheesecake would be to die for made from/with them! Thank you for the tip! I will have to make this for the family at my daughters birthday party. YUMMY!
