Flixlab is a neat little app for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch. It allows you to make movies and slideshows and share them on Facebook. Sounds simple and boring right? WRONG!

Flixlab instantly and automatically lets you transform the raw video clips and pictures on your and your friends’ iPhones into great movies that can be shared with friends and family on Facebook. Flixlab removes the burden from video editing allowing you to quickly and easily combine iPhone video clips and pictures with music, transitions, and text slides. Whether you’re capturing those precious moments of the birthday party, or recording the night out on the town, Flixlab helps to collect & share the best footage shot by all of your friends and family, not just what you shot.

Just a few screenshots of the app while I was making my demo movie.

If you are like me, you take TONS of photos and videos on your smartphone and/or iPad, but never do anything with them. Flixlab lets you make creative videos using the photos, video and music on your “i” device. I have an iPad 2 (thanks to LikeList) and I have been having a ball creating cute videos for my family and friends. I take my iPad with me everywhere I go anyway and I’m always snapping photos wiht it and my Android phone. This app makes it so much fun to now do something with them. Here is a video I made just with screenshots of the app itself.

Pro’s and Con’s:

Pro:

  • It’s FREE! You can Download Flixlab Free of charge at the iTunes store.
  • Use any photos, videos and music on your i-device.
  • Publish to your Facebook wall within seconds.
  • Friends can access each others videos and remix into new creations
  • OR keep them private and share them with ONLY the friends you choose.

Con:

NONE!

Ok if I had to come up with one con, it would be that I’d also like to be able to publish to YouTube directly in the app and not just Facebook. That would be a major plus because I tend to publish more to that than I do FB. BUT you CAN still publish to YouTube, etc. by clicking “Save to Camera Roll” when you have finished your movie. This will save it in your iPad/iPhone Camera Roll where you can publish it to other sites. So that is a little tiny con for me but not a huge deal. The app works perfectly fine without this option.

OH and I can’t seem to find where my video is uploaded to on Facebook. It isn’t stored in my photos or anything so I’m not sure where it goes once it is uploaded. But I’ve posted that question on the Flixlab Facebook fan page and I’m just waiting for a reply. I’ll update this post when I hear back. (Flixlab on Facebook)

The only other downside I see so far is that it isn’t available on my Droid. {hint hint! – it REALLY needs to be made available for it!} So really, there aren’t any cons that I can see. None that make the app unusable or faulty in any way. Just my own little nit-picking. :D

Here is a video from Flixlab telling you a little about how the app works:

Be sure to checkout Flixlab on Facebook too, for more info. There is a great support section there!

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Flixlab and BFPR. All opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way. This app is so much FUN!
