Carbonite Online Backup

If I have one disc full of precious photos, I have 5,000! And even though I have them all safely on discs, I’m afraid that isn’t enough. What if something happens to the CD’s they are on? That can happen. The CD’s can be damaged or, gasp, even erased! Then I’ve lost my beautiful photos. Picturesque memories of my babies growing up and the exciting moments in their lives. Also, as a blogger, I have many documents and emails that I need to save. Doing so online, with easy access, is a HUGE plus. That’s why I’ve been looking for a way to do a computer backup.

I obviously have a way to store my photos and even music offline but I want something extra. A place on line to keep them safe. I’ve found a site called Carbonite that can backs up my irreplaceable files – things like documents, pictures, music and email. Carbonite doesn’t back up software programs like Microsoft Office, anti-virus software, or files saved on external hard drives. But that is ok, because I have copies of those already and if I had to, I could replace them. But my photos, those a re special and you can’t replace them, ever. Once they are gone, that is it. Carbonite works on PC and Mac and does an online backup of my data to a secure, state-of-the-art data centers

It works in the background too, continually making a computer backup without any effort from me. My absolute favorite part is that once my files are secured, i can access them from anywhere I have internet access. There are apps for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android or Blackberry Smartphone. So I can use my Android phone AND my iPad to access my photos! That is awesome!

Carbonite is offering a 15 day FREE trial and if you decide to buy you get 2 months free with this code: BLOGAD ! After the 15 trial, it is $59 per year and that gives you unlimited backup.  I think this is a great way to backup my photos, documents and email as well as my favorite music and keep them safe.
