I can’t believe how fast this year has gone by. It’s almost Fall, YAY! It’s also almost winter too, boo! With winter comes bad weather, hazardous driving conditions and cold temperatures. That means it is time to do those tune-ups on your automobile and Murphy USA can help. Did you know they carry products like windshield washer fluid, antifreeze, oil, transmission fluid, etc.? Well, they do! See?

We have a fall trip coming up so Hubby and I wanted to make sure we get our tune up done before we go. Because, not only do you want to be prepared during inclement weather, you also want to be prepared when you are traveling away from home. So we headed to our local Murphy USA to see what we could find. The products at our store vary but today I was able to find windshield washer fluid, oil and gas additive. Their prices are pretty affordable too. We spent around $8 on this trip. They didn’t have any antifreeze, though, so we went to WalMart to get that. Ours is in front of WalMart and we had grocery shopping to do anyway, so it wasn’t out of our way.

Once we got home, I set Hubby to work doing the tune-up. What? You didn’t think I was going to get all yucky did you? Of course not, I’m a Princess. hehehe (just joking… a little.) No, seriously though, I had Hubby show me what all needs to be done so that I can do the tune up if need be. Ladies, we all need to learn these things!

Ok, so he set to work while I took photos of the process. He checked the oil and added just a little because it was pretty good, checked the coolant level, windshield washer fluid, added the gas additive. Next we’ll be changing the spark plugs and checking the tires but for today, we just did the fluid levels.

How fortunate that your husband is so mechanically handy, and willing! Mine can, but would strongly prefer not to. What a wonderful savings for your family!
