#Heelys Review with Video! Some things Mama CAN’T do! #epicfail

Ok, so for the last couple of weeks I have been practicing and practicing and practicing some more so that I could show you and my kids how this mama can ride the Adult Heelys. Unfortunately, so far, I’ve had an epic fail. I can’t do it… yet.

I’ve tried so many time my neighbors are seriously starting to worry about my sanity. They are trying to figure out why this 34 year old mom is trying to kill her self on wheeled shoes. Ok, not really. But I bet they are laughing their fanny’s off!

Heelys are the original shoes with wheels in the heels that allow the user to transition from a walk to a roll by shifting the weight to the heel. Users can also transition to street shoes by removing the wheel with the included tool.

The Heelys are super easy to assemble. They come with a special tool that removed the wheel plug. You just insert the tool and pop out the plug, place your wheel into the whole and use your fist to “pop” it into place. You’ll know it is in there when you hear a snap. (Of the wheel going into place, not your bones). Then you’re ready to roll!

Or not as is my case. I just have not managed to get the hang of it. I think the problem is that my brain isn’t sufficiently sending the message to me toes that they have to stay up and not on the ground. My feet want to automatically go down to keep me upright. So I don’t roll. I just sort of stay put. I grabbed my son and we headed outside to do a very short video so you can see what I’m talking about. Also I think that if I had something on my right side to put my hand on, maybe my hubby, I would feel a little better and be able to do it. As it is, I had to place one arm across my chest to practice so I could hold on to something and it just wasn’t working.

As you can see in the video. I really can’t do it. But I WILL! Oh yes, you wait and see. I will be posting ANOTHER video of me, Crystal, successfully rolling in my awesome Heelys! I’ll get the hubby out there to help me and I WILL DO IT! I love these things and I really want to get the hang of it. I think they are awesome! You see, I never give up and these kids don’t have anything on mama!
