I found a really fun new site for my kids. It is called Amazing World and it is a free-to-play 3D Virtual world by Ganz. It is very easy to register for the site. All you have to do is choose a screen name, enter your date of birth and email, then generate your World name. You can click the generate button until you find a name you like. After that, you’re registered and you can download the game to your computer.

There is always a lot of controversy about children playing too many video games. But video gaming can be a great teaching tool. Playing interactive video games helps kids tap into their creativity. Games like Amazing World let them decorate characters and homes and add their own personal touches as well as thinking of great names for their characters.

Video games also help teach kids technical skills and eye hand coordination. They may improve cognitive skills, social norms and the ability to advance problem solving skills. The games that my family play all require concentration and the ability to think quickly through fast moving situations. In my opinion, this helps in every day life because it forces you to use different parts of your brain. I’ve notices since my son started playing video games, he is able to think through situations and find new approaches to problem solving.
