My youngest daughter is three years old. She has always been a co-sleeper but the bed is getting a bit too crowded! It is time for her to move to her own bed. I’ve been trying to think of ways to convince her to sleep in her sister’s room and I think I might have found a solution: My Feeding Friend!

My Feeding Friend is a large stuffed animal that is actually a nursing pillow. They work perfectly for newborns. If you are a breastfeeding mom, the pillow helps to raise your baby to breast level and offers support for your arm while you are nursing your baby. It also works great for bottle feeding. My kids were all breast fed but there were times when they had to take a bottle of pumped milk or formula. Nursing pillows are a God-Send!

Mother of four, Julie Menconi, has been nursing her babies since 2005. She quickly realized that the typical pillows on the market left a lot to be desired. It wasnt until one day when she hastily grabbed a stuffed animal to use as support, that the idea of a grow-with-me, cute and cozy nursing pillow hit her.

This idea has grown into line of four adorable feeding friends. The pillows serve as a nursing pillow, support as baby learns to sit, a toddlers first bedtime friend and a meaningful keepsake and cherished toy for many years to come.

There are 4 different styles of animals. Dalmatian, Tiger, Monkey and Turtle with more Jungle Animals coming in 2013. All animals are 41 inches long and have a body circumference of 20 – 22 inches. My daughter has the monkey and it is as long as she is!

My Feeding Friend is great for these ages:
Birth – 10 months: Nursing Pillow
10 months – 3 years: Tummy Time & Sitting Up
3 years & up: Bedtime Buddy

Ok, so back to our co-sleeping issue. Not only does My Feeding Friend make a fabulous nursing pillow, it also makes the PERFECT naptime buddy!

She loves to snuggle up to her monkey friend when she is napping. It makes her feel more secure and it so soft and snuggly. We are only doing naptime right now. The photo above shows her napping on the floor because she was watching TV and feel asleep, but she will get into her bed and take a nap now. That is something she wouldn’t do before! I figure we can try that for a few weeks and then start with bedtime. I think having her My Feeding Friend is going to really encourage her to sleep in her own bed just like it has helped her take naps there.

One other thing that I’ve found the My Feeding Friend works great for is a “Lovey” while brushing my daughter’s hair. My three girls have the most horribly tangly hair. They are all super tender headed and can’t stand to have their hair brushed. So, I let them hug the My Feeding Friend while they are getting their hair brushed and we get through it much quicker. :D

My Feeding Friend retails for $39.99 and can be purchased at MyFeedingFriend.com, Amazon.com and these 3 retailers:

La La Land, Elmhurst IL
Just Fun Fashions, Elmhurst IL
Maty K’s, Chicago IL

Follow My Feeding Friend on Facebook and Twitter.

My daughter really loves her My Feeding Friend and when we are at home, it is constantly by her side. Her only problem is keeping it away from her older siblings. My older 3 want one for themselves!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary My Feeding Friend for review purposes. No monetary compensation was received. All opinions are my own.
