Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub

I’m going to do a little feature on my, personal, Summer Beauty Must Haves. This post is part of that series.

This item is listed on our 2015 Holiday Gift Guide!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample to facilitate my review. All opinions are my own and were formed through personal testing. Your results may vary.

Dry feet, heels and ankles. Dry hands and knees. These are things we do NOT want during the summer season. Or any season for that matter. But especially when we’re wearing shorts, shorter skirts and sandles. Dry, cracked heels and rough toes look gross and can ruin the look of a perfectly polished set of toes in flip flops! To get rid of the yucky dryness, I love to use an exfoliating salt scrub like Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub by goPure Naturals.

Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub

THE SEA SALT BODY SCRUB: Made with Real Dead Sea Salt – 100% Pure and Genuine for an infusion of 21 Minerals Essential to Proper Skin Function. Great Exfoliator and Moisturizer.

Salt scrubs are very easy to use, and when used correctly, can give a soft, easy exfoliation. I like to use it on my heels and hands, especially. It can be very slippery so make sure you are sitting down or have a non-slip mat in your tub when using it in the shower. I like to sit on the edge of the tub to do my feet and legs.

First things first, this salt scrub does separate. So make sure you have a plastic or wooden spoon and give it a little stir before scooping out to emulsify the oils and salt back together. It is coarse but not overly large salt crystals so it provides a nice feeling while you’re rubbing it in. Don’t rub too hard though. And your skin may be a little red afterwards from the scrubbing but that is normal.

I fill the tub just a little with really warm water Just enough to cover my feet. Then I let them soak for a few minutes. After soaking, scoop out just a little Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub and massage it, in a circular motion, into your skin, gently. Make sure you don’t put it on any nicks or cuts because the salt can sting. Keep rubbing it for a few moments then rinse it off.

You’ll notice that the oils don’t rinse completely. After you get just the salt off, pat the area dry and then rub the oils in. It will leave your skin soft and silky and smelling so good! The fragrance is Ocean Breeze and it smells incredible. Then be careful getting out because you and the tub will be slippery!

I also like to keep a little Adovia Dead Sea Salt Scrub in a small dish on the sink. After washing your hands, put a little in your hand and rub it all around, focusing on any really dry spots. Rinse the salt off, gently pat your hands dry and then rub the oils in and voila! Super soft hands.
