I am honored to be part of the Social Fabric! Happy 1/2 Birthday #SoFab #cbias!

Social Fabric celebrates it’s 1/2 birthday on 11/11/11 and I have created my own 11 to say Happy Birthday to this fab group! I created a Glass Block Light that reads “Social Fabric Members Are Gathered Together With Thankful Hearts”. I think this describes Social Fabric perfectly. I don’t know if you have ever heard of Social Fabric or Collective Bias before but I am a part of it. And I am thrilled to be! It is a group of bloggers who work together to spread the word about fabulous brands and products. You have seen several posts on my blog that are part of Collective Bias. Some of them include Clear American Water, Smarties, Hillshire Farm Gourmet Creations Sausage. All of these are made possible by being a member of this wonderful group. The bloggers I have met there are amazing!

They help each other socially, ethically, virtually and even physically. There was a campaign recently where members got to “Boo” another member by sending them a special Halloween care package. There was another campaign where members created gift baskets for heroes in their community.

That is what I am a part of and it has changed my life for the better. I hadn’t realized just how much until I sat down to create this post. But it has. Being a thread in this Social Fabric has enriched, not only my blog, by my own personal life as well. It has allowed me to make new friends online and to grow. It has taught me that helping each other is exactly what we, as bloggers are all about. I love you Social Fabric and the Collective Bias that created you. I love everything you stand for. And I love where you are taking me as a blogger. And I am thankful to be a thread in your social fabric. Thank you and Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Cupcake Cuties Review and Giveaway!

cupcakecutieslogo.png

Cupcake Cuties are the cutest and simplest way to create decorator cupcakes since… well, I don’t know what! Each kit contains everything you need, minus the icing, to decorate your cupcakes with. All you need to supply is the iced cupcake.

My daughters share a birthday party every year because they are both September babies. At first, they wanted to have a movie night theme to their birthday so we picked the Movie Popcorn Cupcake Kit. It includes marshmallows for your “popcorn”, yellow sugar sprinkles for your “butter” and of course, the wrappers. We still might end up doing that for our party but as of right now, they can’t fully decide. So, I went ahead and made the Popcorn cupcakes as a dry run. I needed to make sure I could do them easily anyway, just in case. As it turns out, they were SUPER EASY to make!

This is a pretty big gallery. It should open as a slideshow so you can scroll through each photo and read the step-by-step instructions of how we made out Movie Night Popcorn Cupcakes!

Some of the photo descriptions were cut off in the slideshow. You can see them along with images in my ThisMoment Story here or view the embedded version at the bottom of the post.

I had a wonderful time making these cupcakes. I gave each marshmallow a little pinch to make them look more like popcorn. That part was fairly messy and my fingers became really sticky. So if you do this, I suggest keeping a little bowl of water and some paper towels beside you. Just dip your fingers in the water and dry them off when they start to get too sticky. Otherwise, you can just add the marshmallows onto the iced cupcake. It is darling either way.

Cupcake Cuties kits range in price from $12.99 – $18.99.

They are available online at: http://www.cupcakecuties.com

There are TONS to choose from including (but not limited to) baby shower, basketball, bunny face, cheeseburger, martini, etc. and everyone is darling. There are way to many to list here.

Be sure to check out their recipes page too!
