Captain Jack Sparrow #Halloween #Costume from BuyPirateCostumes.com

Every October, my husband and I host a Halloween Costume party for our family. Adults and children are all invited. We usually have a group party early in the evening for all ages and then later, the kids go to the kids room for movies and popcorn while the adults enjoy cards, adult beverages and conversation. Everyone is welcome to stay the night afterwards.

Last year Hubby was a pirate and I was a vampire. This year, we are going as the same thing but changing the costumes up a little. Sort of giving them a refresher. You may remember me posting a few months ago that my daughter wanted the entire family to go as pirates and her costume. My son and middle daughter decided they don’t want to be pirates after all so three of them are going as pirates, my middle daughter is going as “Spider Princess”, my son as a Grim Reaper type costume and me, again as a Vampire/Goth. I can’t wait! My Husband received his Jack Sparrow Costume from BuyPirateCostumes.com and we both couldn’t be happier. The costume is well made and has plenty of room for movement. The shirt and vest are attached and the pants have an elastic waist.

My husband said he thinks it fits very well and is made to hold up throughout an entire evening of fun.

I think he looks quite dashing as Captain Jack!

Kmart Halloween 50 ft Party Shopping! #KmartHalloween

Every year, my Hubby and I host a fun Halloween Costume Party for family after taking the kids on a very quick, around the block and back, Trick-or-Treat. Sometimes, my mother-in-law and I hand out while the Hubby takes the kids. Then we all gather back at our house, in costume, and enjoy the night. This year, we need all new costumes and more decorations and Halloween party supplies. When you leave decor outside for weeks at a time, it starts to fade or even fall apart. So we need to revamp some of our old stuff and buy some new. Kmart currently has some specials good from 9/18-9/24, so we went there to see what we could get.

Our local Kmart had quite a few costumes out already. There wasn’t a ton of decor or party supplies yet but I think they are still stocking those items. So, I’m going to go back in a week or so and see what else they add. I’m also going to check the Kmart website. I hear there is free shipping for orders over $39.99 so I’m going to check and see. As you can see, Kmart has quite a bit of decor and costumes even when everything isn’t yet stocked. Some of the stuff I bought was to replace things that were damaged from last year and some we loved so much from last year, that we wanted to by a second. These items include the flying ghost, giant spider webs and skeleton garland. They are my favorites and after decorating last year, my husband and I both agreed we need more of those same items to complete our decor. Two is always better than one!

We also purchased a fun movie for the kids. This way, when it gets dark, they can take a big bowl of popcorn to the play room and have fun watching kid-friendly Halloween movies while the adults enjoy time together playing cards, singing Karaoke, etc. Our parties are perfect for all ages.
