Good Lad Pink Animal Trimmed Coat

The coat I received for review is the Good Lad Pink Animal Trimmed Coat. I chose this coat because it reminds me of the coats little girls wore in the old black and white films and films from the 50′s and 60′s. I’ve wanted a coat like that for my daughter for a long time. I first picked out a red coat that I absolutely fell in love with, but they didn’t have it in her size so I went with the pink. It is made of a nice, heavy fleece and is very warm. She is 2 and I usually buy her a 3T in clothing and then go up another size for coats and jackets to allow for bulkier clothing underneath. I chose a 4T in this coat and it fits perfectly. It is long and would be very pretty with dresses as a Sunday coat. But it could be worn for everyday use too. As soon as I opened it, she HAD to have it on and wouldn’t take it off either. She said she was a “beautiful princess” so I’d say it is safe to say, she loves it.

Description:
Fleecy and Fabulous: This pale pink fleece coat gives any little girl some wonderful retro style that Mom is sure to appreciate. Made with a classic pea-coat flared bottom and trimmed at the cuffs and collar with chocolate on pink faux leopard spotted fur, it features a quartet of deep chocolate-hued buttons at the front. Pair it with a classic rounded hat with a matching, wide pink leopard faux fur brim and you have an outerwear ensemble that’s made to be noticed! Let her wear it over a Sunday dress or traditional jeans for darling finish every time.

Baby clothes range in size from newborn – 4T and the prices are very affordable. This coat is $33.99 and offers free shipping. I’d pay that at any local store for a coat, if not more, so the cost is great.

They also offer baby hats, baby headbands and tutus.

  • Assortment of Zhu Zhu pets Fall Outfits

The girls set up the Beauty Salon and proceeded to give their Zhu Zhu Pets (and themselves) star makeovers. We turned the event into a Pampered Hamster Tea Party and dressed in our finest fashions. he he he The evening was complete with tea and cookies served on a lovely tiny tea service perfect for your Pampered Princess and their Hamster Pets. :0)

The salon set is darling and includes many accessories like hair brushes, bottles, mirrors, etc.

The girls had an enormous amount of fun and have continued to play with their Rockstars since the party.  They love carrying them everywhere they go in their Fashion Carriers.

A little tip: Raise the lid on the tunnel when your Zhu is all glammed up in her outfit or your Zhu will get stuck!

Watch out for Ryder, she will sneak a bite of your cookies!!!

The girls ended up having a fabulous time at their Pampered Hamster playdate and have asked to do it again in the very near future.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Review. Holiday Gift Idea.

Weighing in at 13.58 ounces with a 7″ screen, the Samsung Galaxy Tab features a 1024 x 600 resolution. This make a nice size screen for us bloggers on the go. While not as large as the comparable 9.7″ (diagonal) Apple iPad, the Galaxy Tab is perfect for traveling, school or everyday at home use.  The screen is quite large enough for on-the-go blogging and reading your favorite e-novel with Amazon Kindle e-reader. I viewed my copy of Twilight and had no problems at all reading it. It was comparable to reading a regular paperback.

At first glance, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is just a larger version to the HTC Incredible I reviewed a few weeks ago. It is pre-loaded with several useful apps and many, MANY more can be downloaded in the Android Market™.

The camera takes very nice pictures with a 3.0 MP rear-facing camera. (Incredible phone has an outstanding 8.0 MP camera!) But I also like that the Tab has a 1.3 MP front-facing camera as well. Great for video messaging/conferencing with Skype. And the camcorder is great for filming video for your presentations or for capturing your little ones first steps to share online!

Camera

  • 3.0MP rear–facing camera
  • Auto–focus
  • Flash
  • 1.3MP front–facing camera

Video

  • 3.0MP rear–facing camcorder
  • DivX HD video playback

The music player is awesome and you can create playlists and use your Galaxy Tab as an MP# player. The built-in speakers pack a great sound alone or you can insert speakers in the top jack and be the life of the party.

Music

  • Create and Manage playlists
  • Music Player For: MP3, WMA, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, MIDI, WAV, & SP–MIDI Formats
  • Headset Jack: 3.5mm

I was ab;e to browse any website with the HTML browser and Wi-Fi connection and it was super fast. Because it is powered with Google services, you do need a GMAIL account to set up your device. I happen to love GMAIL anyway and was ab;e to retrieve all emails and check-in in no time flat.

Web

  • HTML Browser with Adobe® Flash® 10.1
  • Wi–Fi (802.11 b/g/n)
  • Thousands of apps & hundreds of widgets available on Android Market™
  • Amazon Kindle e–Reader
  • Google Services including Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube™, Google Calendar, Google Search, Google Maps, Latitude, Places

The built-in alarm clock is amazing! Set it and forget it and you will never be late again. I set the alarm and totally forgot. At 7 PM the alarm sounded, scaring the living daylights out of me! ha ha ha There are tons of great tones you can choose too. Real songs! And with the 500 stand-by time on the battery, you really can use it as your own personal alarm clock if staying away from home.

Communication

  • Bilingual User Interface: English/Espanol
  • Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) via AllShare
  • Widgets (AccuWeather Clock, Daily Briefing, News and Weather)
  • Notification Ringtones
  • Tools: Alarm Clock, World Clock, Calendar & Memo
  • Text, Picture & Video Messaging with threaded messaging , Consumer Email, and Corporate Email

Bluetooth Technology

  • Bluetooth® Profiles: Object Push for vCard & vCalendar, SPP, BPP, A2DP, AVRCP, GAVDP, AVDTP, and AVCTP

This tablet is super duper thin. It is quite slippery with its shiny plastic back so don’t ever set it on the couch or anywhere it could get knocked off easily because it will go sliding. But that makes it absolutely perfect for students (or anyone else) needing to quickly slide it in their backpack or brief case.

Adopted Ed Book Review. Holiday Gift Idea.

Because November is National adoption Month, I decided to take part in the One2One campaign featuring the book “Adopted Ed” by author Darren Maddern. This colorful book is written in rhyming text and walks us through a small boys life as he learns about and deals with having been adopted. His parents are very open with him about being adopted and he is happy about it until school bullies begin picking on him and calling him names. After talking to his mom about it, she shows him that being adopted it a true gift and he is overjoyed proclaiming:

I’m adopted, I’m special,” he proclaimed aloud. Then he said it again and grew very proud.

“Adopted Ed” teaches us that being different is a wonderful thing. It also touches on Bullying which is a huge issue right now in schools. It then shows us that it is ok and natural for adopted children to wonder where they came from and to long for answers. I was not adopted as a child but I was raised by a single mother, never knowing my biological father. Not knowing who you came from is hard for a child. Any child, adopted or otherwise. I think Darren, also adopted, has done a wonderful job with “Adopted Ed”. It is a short story that gets right to the point and would make a wonderful Holiday gift for a child who has been adopted and may have questions or concerns about the process.

The story even concludes with a section of celebrities who were adopted like Faith Hill and even Aristotle!
