Do you use SwagBucks? Swag Code Extravaganza on Monday!

Ok, so I love, love, love, LOVE me some SwagBucks. I’ve mentioned it before and will probably mention in again several times throughout the year, because I don’t want you missing out.

SwagBucks is a search site. Think g.o.o.*.l.e. Got it? Right. You can download the SwagBucks toolbar or search directly from their site just as you normally would. So, say I need to find a recipe for vegetarian lasagna, I’d search from the SB toolbar I have installed on my browser. Just like the other search engine only with SwagBucks, I randomly win SwagBucks. You win them quite often too and they vary in the amount each time. These SwagBucks add up over time and I can cash them in for all sorts of goodies! I almost always cash mine in for $5 Amazon gift codes which I save up and either spend on things I need throughout the year or for Christmas gifts. I bought my youngest daughters and my husband’s entire set of Christmas gifts this way last year. It didn’t cost me anything. Zip, Zilch, Nada! And he was happy because it saved us $$$.

Monday is going to be a Swag Code Extravaganza – that means multiple Swag Codes throughout the day. If someone were to get all of them, they’d pocket an extra 50 Swag Bucks! So join me and start earning!

CHALLENGE! Donate to United Way of Western Alabama via SwagBucks.

A few days ago I told you about donations to United Way of Western Alabama through SwagBucks. I vowed to donate as many of my own earned SB’s as I could throughout the donation period. Because I had just cashed in some SwagBucks for Amazon gift cards, I didn’t have many left when I learned about the cause. But I was able to earn 105 credits the last couple of days and I have donated 100 of them and will continue to do so until May 31.

Here is the confirmation page from my donation. I’d like to put out a challenge to you all. Please join me in donating your SwagBucks to this wonderful cause. During the 24-hour period from 8 am April 27 to 8 am April 28, The National Weather Service estimates there were a total of 266 tornadoes causing over 340 deaths and countless miles of destruction in the Southern US. One of the hardest hit areas was Tuscaloosa, AL. Estimates indicated that the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa could have been on the ground for 176 miles, with winds between 167 and 200 mph.

Members of the Swag Nation have stood up in force to help those suffering from recent disasters in Japan and now turn our attentions closer to home. Another reason to love SwagBucks: Alabama Tornado Relief Fund Donations!

You may recall a post I made yesterday about how much I absolutely love SwagBucks.

Well I have another reason to share with you and I would love to get you involved. A few months ago, SwagBucks participated in a relief fund for those affected by the Japan earthquakes/tsunami. They are now working alongside United Way of Western Alabama and taking donations for the Alabama Tornado Relief Fund. The destruction and loss is beyond devastating. Here in Kentucky, we were very lucky. We had our fair share of tornadoes during the outbreak and severe flooding which is another horror story of it’s own, but the tornado damage is no where near that of Alabama. And that is what we are talking about here today. The loss of homes, the loss of lives, the loss of mental peace.

Members of SwagBucks like myself, and you when you join (it’s FREE) can choose to donate the credits you earn while doing your regular internet searches, to the Alabama Tornado Relief Fund, instead of cashing them in for prizes. If you don’t search the web using SwagBucks, you really don’t know what you’re missing out on. Seriously. This is one service I cant recommend enough. I have purchased TONS of items on Amazon using the gift cards I received from SwagBucks. Do you know what that means? It means it was all FREE. 100%, completely and utterly FREE! I’m not pulling your leg here. Just by using the SwagBucks toolbar when I search for something on the internet, I randomly earn credits. Not on every search but on several of them. And they range in amounts. There are several things you can redeem those credits for but I like to choose the $5 Amazon gift cards which cost 450 SwagBucks credits. After about 15 days, the Amazon gift code is added to my SwagBucks account and I can go and add that code to my Amazon account. I wait until I’ve added a few, then when I see something I want, I purchase it. It will automatically apply those gift code credits to the total purchase including shipping. New customers can get a free month trial to Amazon Prime giving you free shipping. SO not only can you use your cards for the shipping costs too but you might not have any shipping costs to worry about anyway if that purchase qualifies you for Amazon Prime!

Today, I reserved a book that my Hubby has been wanting. It won’t be available until later in the month, but I’ve already reserved it. I used the gift codes I had and this book is not going to cost a thing. This is a GREAT way to save money when buying gifts. Amazon carries pretty much any item you could want! So I’ll say it again, if you aren’t taking advantage of SwagBucks and more importantly, those Amazon gift cards, you don’t know what you are missing out on!
