This week I did laundry with Purex Plus Oxi.

I’m not really a fan of doing laundry. But it has to be done. When it comes to detergent, I tend to be a die hard Purex fan. We use the all natural detergents sometimes but in all honesty, I can’t always afford to buy them. And, I get to a point where I want some fragrance in my clothes. But, my kids and I have fairly sensitive skin and super sensitive noses and can only use certain products and fragrances. Purex seems to be the only name brand detergent we can use. And I love it. It gets my clothes really clean. So, I always go back to Purex. I use the Ultra Packs a lot. They are awesome!

Purex has a couple of new products out containing a stain lifter called Zout. The new Purex plus Oxi is one of them. We’ve used Oxi additives before without any skin irritation so I was pretty confident with that. And the Purex plus Oxi is Hypoallergenic so I figured we’d be good there. I was a little afraid to try the added Zout on the kids clothing, though, because, even though I’ve used Purex with Zout before,  they do break out easily but I decided to go ahead and give it a try because I really wanted to see if the Oxi would get my clothes brighter.  We have a lot of colored clothes that have white parts on them and it is so hard to get those white parts bright. When it is a piece of kids clothes, it gets dingy very quickly. But the girls, especially, love the shirts and tunics with the added mock-cami. So you do what you gotta do. We tried Purex with Oxi even though it has Zout as well.

I was going to use it on colored clothes first but there weren’t many of the kids clothes dirty because I had done their laundry they day before. Isn’t that always the way?

So, I decided to try it out on a load of whites since I had a large load of them left, we all use those and I could see how we all did. (It was also tested on Hubby’s work clothes) So, I started the water, added the Purex plus Oxi.

 

Then I added my whites and proceeded to wash and dry. They came out nice and fluffy. The whites are really bright. My kids socks are not dingy at all, and…..

no one has had any breakouts! So, we are good to go! Purex plus Oxi with Zout works for us!

The scent is Fresh Morning Burst and it smells SO GOOD! It isn’t overly floral so it doesn’t trigger my migraines at all. That is another thing I love about Purex. I have a horrible time with scented products and migraines. Everything out there is flroal and I just can not handle them. But with Purex, the fragrances are pleasant and mild to my senses.

I had some coupons to give away but someone, and I won’t mention any names (ahem – cough – Clay – cough – ahem) has lost them. That person (a.k.a. Hubby) asked what was in the box and when I said laundry detergent, he opened my Purex Insiders box and used some of the Purex Plus Oxi on his work clothes and then proceeded to misplace the Insiders box containing my product specs and giveaway coupons.
