If you like to scrapbook and keep journals, you’ll love the “i Like Book“! It takes journal writing to a different level by having you literally write what you like about the recipient each day. I wasn’t really sure what this book was all about when I first heard about it from Mompact. But once I had the chance to look through it, I really fell in love with the concept. I gave my mom a book once that was for her to fill out with her memories, family history and things she loved about her family. I had forgotten about it until after she’d passed away and I came across it. She had filled the entire book out in her final months. I can’t begin to tell you what a treasure it is. The “i Like Book” is one of those things that has that same power. By filling this out and giving it to a loves one, you have the ability to not only let them know exactly how you feel, but to give them a pick me up whenever they need it!
There are lines to write the recipients name and then what they like about you. You can start your book at any time. It isn’t limited to the first of the year. You can write in the month and start it at any time you want.
There is a spot in the front of the book to add a photo. It would be great to use a photo of you and the recipient together. I also like that your child has a place to write what they like as well. If they aren’t old enough to write, they can draw a picture or you can write it for them. This makes the “i Like Book” a great family journal experience.
