A tale of troubled love and honorable intentions gone awry—don’t miss Michèle Phoenix’s new intimate and bold release, Of Stillness and Storm. It took Lauren and her husband ten years to achieve their dream—reaching primitive tribes in remote regions of Nepal. When a friend from Lauren’s past enters her life again, the tension of coping with the present while reengaging with the past might be too much. Will it be the family’s undoing?
My Thoughts On Of Stillness And Storm By Michèle Phoenix:
Ok, this is one of those books that will grab you and rip your heart apart. It is gripping. Of Stillness and Storm is written in the first person. Lauren takes us on her path with her and it leads to a very surprising ending. We get a real glimpse into the trials and tribulations of following a dream that may not be so sweet.
I really don’t want to give anything away so I’ll just say that, at first, you may not like the story. Keep reading because you will get pulled in and will want to finish it. The ending is surprising and not what I would have imagined… but it suits the story.
Michèle Phoenix’s certainly knows how to “get you in the feels”. This is a story that you will think about for a long time after finishing it. It is one that will really stay with you for a long time.
I recommend this book as an “after the Holidays” read. I like reading upbeat, heart warming stories during Christmas so I’d say this would make a good gift to be read after.
