Enter The Orkin Mosquito Summer Scientist Giveaway

Woo Hoo Spring is here, summer is right around the corner and warm weather fun is already happening! We’ve been grilling out almost every evening this last week and I love it! But, where we live the mosquitoes are already starting to buzz around. I despise those little blood suckers. Clay and I don’t love chemicals that’s what it takes to keep them at bay around here. We want the kids to be able to go outside and play without the fear of being bitten by a disease riddled mosquito so we do what we can to eliminate them. That includes using products like Orkin to get rid of mosquitoes.

So, what about you? Are you prepared for mosquito season this year? Take the quiz to see if you’re ready to earn your badge in Mosquito Season Prep then download Orkin’s yearly “Mosquito Cities” list and find out if your city made it!

THEIR CONTENT NO LONGER EXISTS! ☹

  1. I was happy to learn that you shouldn’t put bug spray on to much before going outside or the smell will wear off and it won’t work.

  2. That the females need protein for egg production & males like nectar.
I checked out the “Mosquito CIties” in the US article-I suggest looking at the list.

  3. I learned that: Bright colors have not been proven to attract adult mosquitoes, but strong smells like perfumes, scented soaps, and lotions do. Standing water sources and hot exhaled gases also attract mosquitoes.

  4. The best time to be inside is between dusk and dawn because this is the prime feeding time for mosquitos.

  5. I learned that mosquitos prefer adults over children, because of all the scented soaps lotions and perfumes we wear!
