Gift Idea: Tarah Jade Aroma Candle Collection

There is nothing better than an aroma that can lift your spirits, increase productivity, brighten your mood or help you relax. I love using aromatherapy. I have a few fragrances that I regularly use when blogging, relaxing, traveling and even cleaning my home. It’s neat how different scents can create different atmosphere’s in and around your home and change your moods.

I’m also a candle fanatic. I love a good smelling, clean burning candle. Mood setters. That’s what they are.

I recently received a complimentary Tarah Jade Aroma Candle in Lemon Verbena scent and I want to tell you a little about it. First off, the scent is incredible! It is clean and fresh smelling. The scent changes slightly while it is burning. Smelling it in the jar, it is a bit more pungent but once it is burning you get this incredible fresh, citrus scent. Our living, dining and kitchen is an open floor plan and my desk is in between there.

I started out burning my Tarah Jade Aroma candle  in my kitchen just to help eliminate cooking odors and freshen up the area. But I noticed while I was working at my desk that my mood felt light and I was getting more work done than I had the week before. I feel more focused when it is burning! Smell can do that for ya!

One thing I really love about this candle is the wick. It is a wooden wick, which I’d never experienced before. The candle is 10 oz and the wood wick has a burn time of 50 hours. When you open the jar you, literally, see a candle with a thin piece of wood in it. Light the wood and it burns just like any other wick. Only it is really pretty to look at. It burns really well and the scent throw is amazing.

Tarah Jade candles are all handcrafted too. They are poured in Los Angeles, California, so American made and the wax is organic soy. I love using soy candles. They burn so much cleaner and don’t leave black soot rings on everything.

There are several fragrances to choose from and some are quite unique, like French Tobacco. I want to smell that. I have to get one! Other fragrances include:

Each candle is currently $30 and with the 50 hour burn time will really last quite a while. You don’t typically burn a candle for 50 straight hours! In the photo below, I’d burned mine for 3 hours, reaching a full wax pool in about an hour, and there was very little melt down.

I love that is burns around the perimeter and not just a tunnel down the center around the wick. The organic soy wax is so soft and creamy looking. This really is a lovely candle. And my house smelled amazing the entire time I burned the candle.
