My Thoughts On Into The Air By A. K. Downing

Oooh I like this Into The Air! At first I felt like it was “just another post apocalyptic story”. I was wrong. If you have a hard time getting into the story just keep reading. It gets really good and we see Mia Bryn deal with things no 17 year old should have to.

Without giving any spoilers we see that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. And the “air” isn’t always better. Life outside the compound isn’t all sunshine and roses and this girl learns that fairly quickly. There are characters you’ll love and some you’ll absolutely hate. There are twists and turns and turmoil and heartache and I can’t wait to read more. I really hope there is more to this story and that any sequels will delve into the story even more. I’d love to see this as a movie series!!!

About the author
A. K. Downing is the author of the young adult, adventure novel Into the Air. She grew up in the hills of southwestern Pennsylvania and spent her summers exploring the fields, woods and orchards of her grandparents’ farm. She studied graphic design at Kent State University and currently works as a Creative Director. She enjoys history, camping, and walking through fields of tall grass, and feels there is no better way to see the world than from the top of a horse. She currently lives in the woods with her husband, daughter, two cats and five chickens. Into the Air is her first novel.
