Nectresse Monkfruit Sweetener 100% Natural Made From Fruit

Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NECTRESSE™ Monkfruit Sweetener for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I have just tried the yummiest new sweetener that is 100 percent natural and has zero calories per serving. It is called Nectresse and it is made from Monk fruit so it is all natural.

Monkfruit Sweetener

I decided to try it in two recipes. We are huge tea drinkers so I wanted to make sort of a tea-mocktail. I made myself a large mug of tea, sweetened it with 3 NECTRESSE™Sweetener  packets, added 1 tablespoon of Pomegranate juice and poured it over ice. It was delicious! I think I like my plain sweet tea (without pomegranate juice) better with sugar, at least for now. But this mocktail was so good and refreshing. I’ll be making it regularly.

Nectresse doesn’t taste like sugar. At least to me it doesn’t. But it is really good and much, MUCH better than the other sugar alternatives. It is sweet. Nectresse No Calorie Sweetener is 150 times sweeter than sugar and can be used in cooking and baking to add natural, zero calorie per serving sweetness to your favorite drinks and many foods. Basically, anywhere you’d normally use sugar or a sugar substitute, you’d use Nectresse. It doesn’t have the after effects that Aspartame has and didn’t trigger my migraines like Aspartame.

Nectresse is from the makers of Splenda and is produced from monk fruit, a small green melon that has grown in remote mountain regions of Asia for hundreds of years. It is the ONLY 100% natural sweetener made from fruit.

The other recipe I made using Nectresse is Apple Cinnamon Pancakes. They were FABULOUS!!! I’ll include the recipe below. As you can see in the photo below, Nectresse has a tan/yellowish tint to it. You can see it on top of my flour, baking soda and baking powder.

We made pancakes from scratch substituting sugar with Nectresse sweetener. I used six packets from the individual servings box but you can also purchase it in a canister. The sweetener mixed in very well and wasn’t grainy or noticeable in texture. It even dissolved perfectly in my tea that I made.

The lumps you see in the photo above are apples in case you were wondering. These pancakes had apples and cinnamon in them and were to die for! The kids did NOT notice any difference in sweetness or flavor. The Hubby and I enjoyed them very much and neither of us noticed any difference either. I do like it better in my baking than I did in the tea. I think I am just too spoiled to Southern Sweet Iced Tea made with sugar. I could get used to it, but it was a little different. Next time, I’ll buy it in the canister instead of the packets. I am definitely going to start using it in place of sugar in my cakes and see if anyone notices.

The Apple Cinnamon Pancakes were SO good!
