Reduce Sinus Pressure With Rootology: Breathe Free

I received a complimentary bottle of Rootology: Breathe Free to try out for review and I am thrilled because I have finally found something that works on my allergies! I’m not claiming it will work for everyone but I’ve been using it for the last two weeks, even during a horrible cold, and I have been able to breathe!

*UPDATE*
6/23/16 – I am still using Rootology Breathe Free and LOVE it! I have purchased several bottles and use it in the Spring and Fall mostly, but anytime my sinuses are feeling stuffy. It works so well for me!
Rootology Breathe Free Capsules

We went to Tennessee for a few days the latter part of Feb. and our last day there I started feeling horrible. I always have seasonal allergy attacks in the mountains but this time I had aches, runny nose, sneezing and then massive congestion. I knew this wasn’t a run of the mill allergy attack. It was a cold. By day three I was beginning to think it might be a sinus infection because things were getting worse instead of better. I had been using my regular allergy medication on a daily basis but it wasn’t helping with the cold. The Dr. said I could try the form of my allergy medicine that has a decongestant in it but only for a couple days because I have high bloodpressure. I’d tried it along with my favorite nasal for the first two days we were back home and it made me jittery and really dizzy and confused. I’m here with a 4 year old so there was no way I could be down and out like that. So I switched to using just the nasal spray and vapor cream. The nasal spray works fairly well for a few hours but you can only use it for 3 days tops and I was at the end of my three days. Not to mention, it stings. It works but it can be miserable when you’re already feeling puny.

On day three I was totally clogged up. I received the Rootology: Breathe Free in the mail that same day. I looked at it for awhile, went over all the product info and checked out the website, and then decided I’d give it a try. I figured it might not help but it certainly wouldn’t hurt anything. I took the smallest dosage in case it made me jittery and within 10 minutes my nasal passages opened up and I could breathe! No kidding. I could take a deep breath through my nose. There was still a little swelling in there but I was definitely getting air through where there had been NONE getting through before.  I waited for the jitters and side effects to set in and they never did. I didn’t become jittery or nervous or dizzy like with decongestants. I felt awesome! Sick as a dog but awesome nonetheless because I could breathe and wasn’t left with a medicine-head.

Rootology Breathe Free

So, to make a long story short, I tried it. It worked. And I will continue to purchase and use it as needed. End of story. I really do love this stuff!

Tips for Taming Your Winter Allergies by Dr. Joan Lehach

Cockroaches, dust mites, dander, and mold can trigger cold-and flu-like symptoms, said immunologist Dr. Joan Lehach

As frigid temperatures and unusually snowy conditions over much of the nation continue to keep many Americans indoors, a veteran allergy expert reminds us that staying inside may keep us warm, but it also us gives us prolonged exposure to four powerful indoor allergens capable of triggering a variety of cold and flu-like symptoms.

“If you experience more than nine days of continuing congestion, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes and nasal drip, chances are good that you are reacting to the presence of either dust mites, cockroaches, animal dander, or mold somewhere in your home, office or school,” said Dr. Joan Lehach, integrative medicine physician specializing in allergy, asthma and clinical immunology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. “Many times, and especially in the inner city where populations are dense, all four of these allergens are present and must be addressed.”

Dr. Lehach’s tips for controlling your indoor allergy symptoms:

1.     Mold inspection:  The first step for controlling your allergy symptoms is to do a little inspection for mold inside the house. The most common places to find it are on shower curtains, wallpaper, carpets and the sink. Mold also grows in the drain, which can be cleaned with bleach and detergent.

2.    Cockroach hunt:  Studies have found cockroach allergens to be present in at least half of inner city homes and in nearly three-quarters of inner city schools.  Cockroaches do not have to be alive to trigger respiratory problems. Dust containing molecules of crushed carcasses can still cause problems for humans.  Professionals can be consulted to discover and clean out hidden colonies.  Nesting areas and pathways where cockroaches may have been traveling should be thoroughly cleaned.

3.    Dry up dust mites:  Keep your indoor humidity at 50 percent or lower, as higher humidity will breed dust mites.  A humidity gauge can be purchased for about $5.

4.    Filter out animal dander:  If you have a pet allergy,  you probably are going to need to be on allergy medications until you can consult with an allergist and see if you want to be desensitized or not. Meanwhile, a small HEPA air purifier placed in each room will keep airborne dander from spreading throughout the house. Mice or other fur-bearing pests living under the house or in the attic must be searched for and removed.

5.    Get symptom relief:  A mixture of sinus-friendly Chinese herbs, like Rootology, can temporarily halt most allergy symptoms in less than 20 minutes. Rootology can also be used to control winter cold and flu symptoms.

6.    Start an immune-building diet:  Eliminate foods that are weakening your immune system, like processed and packaged foods, and start eating immune boosting, allergy fighting foods, like blackberries and blueberries. Also important are multivitamin supplements and digestive enzymes to help you access more of the nutrients in the food you consume.

7.    Get sufficient sleep:  Our immune system is very “sleep-driven”, and allergies are precipitated by weakened immunity.

8.    Stay hydrated:   When you become dehydrated you get dry nasal mucosa and can develop microscopic cracks in the nasal lining, making it easier for allergens to enter your bloodstream.

9.    Use the “hot” setting:  Wash your bedding in hot water (at least 130 degrees) to properly neutralize allergens.

10.   Wash your face and hands:  Not only to maintain popularity with family, friends, and co-workers, but if there is dander, mold, or dust on your face or hands, chances are good that you will end up inhaling it.
Again, I can’t claim that this product will work for you and I CAN NOT offer any medical advice, but I can give you my own, personal, unbiased review. For me, it works wonders and I’ve been able to “breathe free” since receiving it in the mail. When I’m feeling a little (or a lot) stuffy) I take two capsules and I’m good to go!

  1. I would love to try this product! I’ve had cronic sinus headaches for as long as I can remember! I’ve taken everything to try to get relief! Usually when I lay down the pressure is worse, so I get up and pace. I rub my eyes all of the time, and have dark circles under them. I’ve been to ear nose and throat Doctors, and Neurologists, no luck. Just got meds. that put me to sleep on my feet. With this constant pain I find it hard to concentrate.

    • I’m in the same situation as you. The only thing that helps me is migraine medication for sinus pain. I have tried everything. I think I am going to try this product. I have tried everything else.

      • I hope you have good luck with this Roberta. It really works well for me. I can tell a big difference in the sinus pressure within about 15 – 20 minutes of taking Rootology! When my sinuses are so bad that it doesn’t work I have to also add in Afrin. (Claritin, Rootology and afrin together help me tremendously on my super bad days!)

        • HI Crystal, I just wanted to tell you that Rootology is really working for me. I have not had to take any migraine medication. It’s a miracle. If I wake up with sinus pain I take the Rootology along with some nose spray. Within 30 minutes I feel the pressure easing up. Within a couple of hours I am pressure and pain free. This is the first product that has helped me. I am so excited.

          • Hi Roberta,
I’m so happy for you! I’m glad you decided to give Rootology a try and that you’re not needing the migraine meds. Natural is always a better option when we can do it, in my opinion. Isn’t it amazing how well it works?

Thank you so much for coming back and letting me know you tried it and how it’s working for you. I love hearing that!!!

  2. I am on allergy shots, which have helped me, but I still have sinus pressure that I only get relief from once a month when I take a Zyrtec before my allergy shot. The reason I don’t take a Zyrtec any other time, or any other antihistamine for that matter, is because I have Sjogren’s, which causes severe dryness anyway. My question is – does Rootology have dryness as a side effect like every other allergy medication I’ve ever taken??

  3. I want to try the Rootology but I read that it could make my blood pressure go up. I have really high BP even while taking 2 meds for it. What is your opinion?

  4. Thank you for the list and if I feel that I need to ask my Dr. I will gladly let you know what he says. I do monitor my BP at home so I would feel comfortable trying it once to see if I get the same relief that others have stated.
