DIY Foaming Hand Soap With Essential Oils (or without!)
This DIY Foaming Hand Soap recipe combines the power, yet gentleness, of castile soap with moisturizing glycerin and immune support essential oils. Scrub the dirt away and know exactly what's in your soap! p.s. You can also leave the essential oils out for an unscented foaming hand soap!
1 - 2CupsDistilled WaterYou may need less. You need enough to fill the bottle, leaving room for the foaming dispenser top
Instructions
Mix castile soap and glycerin (if using) in soap bottle and swirl to mix
Add essential oils to mixture and swirl again to incorporate oils into soap/soap glycerin
Let sit a few minutes to allow the oils and soap to fully combine
Swirl again and then top off with distilled water
Place foaming soap dispenser lid onto container
Tilt the bottle back and forth several times to combine distilled water and oil mixture
Enjoy using your DIY Foaming Hand Soap!
Notes
You can absolutely leave the essential oils out of this recipe for an unscented foaming soap! EO's do add cleansing and health support to your recipes but aren't a must-have. If using essential oils, I love using lemon, lavender and peppermint essential oils in my foaming hand soap. But you can use any single oil, blend or combination of oils you prefer, up to 30 drops for a 0.5% dilution in a 12 oz recipe!
