I have some summer travel tips for you using Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus. If there’s one thing I hate more than wrinkled clothes it’s wrinkled clothes on vacation and having to iron them. I’m on vacation. I want to relax and have things be as easy as possible. I also want the kids summer break to be peaceful and relaxing. I don’t want to have to stand in the laundry room ironing clothes. I want to get dressed and get on with our day. So I was really excited when I was asked to try out Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus in the new bottle , known as The #WonderBottle.

The New Bottle Versus The Old
We headed to the Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a spontaneous weekend getaway this past Friday. I was planning on doing the Biannual Blogathon Bash but Clay came in Friday after work and told me to book a cabin for the weekend. You don’t have to tell me twice! I was ready! But that left me about 15 minutes to pack and get on the road because it takes about 4 hours to get there so I had to hurry.
I stuffed a couple things in the suitcase and didn’t really take time to pack neatly. Needless to say, when we got up the next morning, our clothes were a wrinkled mess. I had remembered to pack the travel sized bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser and I am so glad I did! I had this one purple tee shirt that was extremely wrinkled.
I laid each piece on my suitcase, one at a time, sprayed it down with the Downy Wrinkle Releaser and then smoothed it gently with my hands. Then I let it dry and moved on to the next article of clothing. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the wrinkles fell right out. This stuff is fantastic! The cabins we stay in do typically offer an iron and ironing board but like I said, I’m on vacation. Who wants to spend all morning ironing everyones clothes. All you have to do is spray the Downy Wrinkle Releaser on, give it a quick smoothing and a few seconds to dry and you’re good to go! SO EASY!
It smells good too. I keep dryer sheets in the suitcase to keep from having that “storage” or “musty” smell. But if you need to give your clothes a little refreshing, like if your cabin has a fireplace or fire pit and you get smoky, this product works perfectly for that as well. It makes them smell fresh and clean. It’s a great odor eliminator.
Don’t believe that it worked that well, that quickly? Watch this quick video and you’ll see it in action when I sprayed it on my shirt.
So here are my summer travel tips using Downy Wrinkle Releaser:
- In Place Of Ironing: Use in place of ironing to remove wrinkles while traveling
- Ironing Aid: Use as an ironing aid to help wrinkles fall out more easily
- Suitcase Refresher: Use as an odor eliminator in your suitcase to keep it smelling fresh
- Fabric Refresher: Spray on your clothes and let dry to remove musty or smoky odors
- Bedding Refresher: Spray on your cabin or hotel bed to refresh the bedding
- Static Remover: Use to remove static on sweaters and cotton clothes
According to Downy, Downy Wrinkle Releaser Plus has over 101 uses for the home, family and traveler. In addition to reducing clothing wrinkles, it can be used as a quick-fix solution to remove creases from pillowcases, bed sheets, drapery, tablecloths, cloth napkins, ribbons, holiday decorations and many more uses.
I also use it on my curtains. I use it in between washings to freshen them and make them smell nice. I also use it after washing and drying to eliminate static and wrinkles. It works wonders!
