Relieve Allergy Related Puffy Eyes Quickly And Easily

I often mention that I am an allergy sufferer and that one of my biggest peeves of allergies is super puffy eyes. I have beauty products that help temporarily relieve puffy eyes before going out but I’ve never really thought to use something that is targeted for allergy sufferers. Something with ingredients in it to actually decongest, de-puff, and tone the eye area. Both beneath the eyes and on the upper lid.

I received a complimentary sample of Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum to try on my allergy suffering eyes. All thoughts and opinions expressed are strictly my own and were formed through personal testing of the product. Your results may vary from mine.

My allergies are in high gear right now. Clay had mowed the yard that morning. The neighbors had mowed the evening before. Many of my flowers int he flower bed are in bloom. And my eyes and sinuses are taking a toll because of it. I take allergy meds, but they don’t fully work for me. I sneeze. I cough. My eyes puff up and my sinuses kick into high gear. My Rootology helps with my nasal sinuses and really clears them out well but the eye puffiness doesn’t fully retreat.

Not to mention, I’m getting older and there is some sagging of the eyelids that I’m beginning to notice. It’s not as easy to put eyeshadow on when your upper lids begin to sag. Not easy at all!

So I gave the Exuviance DePuffing Eye Serum a try. As soon as the eye serum arrived opened the box and applied it, making sure to not get it in my eyes. Here is some info on the product before I share my results.

Relieve Allergy Related Puffy Eyes

90% of users saw eye puffiness reduced within 4 hours* of using this eye serum that targets four sources of puffiness.
  • Eyeliss™ and Actiflow® target microcirculation and helps strengthen fragile skin, reducing the pooling that can lead to puffiness and bags
  • NeoGlucosamine® helps firm and tone both eyelid and under-eye droopiness over time
  • Triple micro-roller applicator massages to stimulate circulation, while delivering serum to the eye area
  • Caffeine helps stimulate and invigorate the skin
  • Chamomile, Green Tea and Cucumber refresh the eye area

As soon as I applied it I felt a warming sensation around my eye on the upper and lower lids. This lasted for about 15 minutes then turned to more of a cooling sensation. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all, just nice, refreshing feeling. In fact, my entire eyeball felt cool. That was kind of odd and unexpected but really neat!

It didn’t rub in fully with the applicator so I dabbed the remainder on the skin all around my eye. It was still fairly wet feeling for a couple of minutes, then it dried,  but it didn’t leave any residue or anything on the skin. The product is fairly clear. I didn’t notice any sticky or tacky feeling afterward either.

The applicator has 3 little roller balls that you use to apply the eye serum on the skin. You push the button at the bottom of the applicator to make the serum come up through the rollers. The roller balls work to apply it but also to massage the area and stimulate circulation. This felt really good! The little metal balls are cool feeling on the skin which also helps to reduce puffiness as you roll it from the inner corner to the outer corner for a few seconds.

I didn’t notice any pulling feeling or anything like that while it was on my skin but after about 15 – 20 minutes I did notice that the area beneath my eyes looked less puffy and the sinus pressure that I had there was actually gone. I didn’t even really realize I had sinus pressure under my eyes until it wasn’t there. That was cool!

I love using this first thing in the morning to wake me up and make my eyes feel refreshed. The warming/cooling feeling that it leaves on the skin really feels like it opens the sinuses and my eyes feel so good. I mentioned that somehow, my actual eyeball feels cool and refreshed and it does each time I use it so I feel more awake and ready for the day. I feel like my eyes are more “open”. The recommended use it twice per day as tolerated. I’ve only been using it once per day because it does make my eyes feel “awake”. I like that feeling in the morning versus at night when I’m ready for bed.

I haven’t noticed any major firming or toning yet but it does state that it takes up to 4 weeks for that and I’ve only been using it for a week. I have noticed a slight difference in the firmness of my skin. So it seems to be beginning to help. Time will tell with that.

Ok, price.

This product does sale for $72 but it is something that I would consider more of a “beauty health” product and less of a “make me pretty” beauty product. It, combined with the Rootology that I take and my regular allergy tablet have made a pretty huge difference in how my eyes feel right now. With all the allergens around me (outdoor, indoor, pets, etc.) I need the help to make it through the day. So I would sacrifice a couple dinners out to “splurge” on something that makes me feel better and helps reduce my puffy eyes.
