I’ve been craving a good ‘ole BLT sandwich. Since I don’t eat white bread anymore I make mine on either sprouted bread, homemade sourdough bread or, to keep from crossing over my fats and carbs I’ll use a low carb tortilla. I love to smear on a little mayonnaise, some big leaf lettuce pieces and fresh garden tomato slices. I prefer yellow tomatoes since they’re less acidic. Sometimes I’ll add a slice of Colby Jack cheese. Yummmmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it!
Honestly, that’s my favorite way to eat bacon. Just in a nice thick sandwich! Since Clay was diagnosed with Gout, we don’t eat bacon too often anymore. (it’s one of his triggers). But, from time to time, we get a hankering for it and enjoy a little. When we do, it’s ButcherBox to the rescue!
