Spring Clean Multiple Surfaces With Shark Rocket

I am so sick of cold, rainy days. We’re all finally on the mend so I want to make the house sparkle and smell clean.  Fresh air is what we need! Not to mention, it gets really dusty in here in the winter. I guess it’s from using the heat. Does your house seem to be dustier in the winter months? I recently received a Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technology to test out and I’ve been able to dust and sweep so many different surfaces!

This particular vacuum looks like a simple stick vac but it is so much more. The motor can come off and be used as a hand held with tons of different attachments or you can use it as a standard vacuum.

When using it as a floor vacuum, there are 2 brushes, soft and bristle, that lets you sweep both hard floors and carpet. The button to change settings it right on the handle. All you do is flip the on/off switch to the setting you need and keep on sweeping.

I like these brushes because they really grab up loose particles. We dropped a package of crushed crackers on the floor. Some went on the linoleum and some ended up on the carpet. The Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technology sucked them all up from both surfaces with no problem. There’s even a light so you can see what needs vacuuming!

I love that it comes with so many attachments. There is the standard crevice tool and upholstery brush.

It also comes with a brush for pet hair and a dusting brush as well as a super long handle that can go beneath appliances. That is super cool. No major bending to get things from under the stove or refrigerator. I can sweep under the TV stand as well and get any dust that might build up under there. That goes a long way in easing our allergies.

Some of the attachments can clip directly onto the vacuum and the rest can go in the included, large accessory bag.

Because the pole can be used when using it as a handheld, I’m able to thoroughly clean the return vents to our central air. Before, I could only dust it with a long duster, because my other vacuum’s were either too heavy to lift or the hose wasn’t quite long enough.

With the Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technology I can get right up there and suck all that dust out. I can also clean the mini blinds easier as well as the ceiling fans. Again, this goes a long way in helping with our allergies.

The dust cup is fairly large. I was able to vacuum 2 large rooms before emptying. Considering how my hair falls out and the cat and dog, that is pretty good results. The cup is really easy to remove and empty. Again, just a push of a button or 2 and you’re done. Everything comes out when you dump it. There are two filters that can be taken out and cleaned. These are on the motor part and come out easily as well.

I love that this vacuum has a pretty long cord so I don’t have to stop and move to a new plug. I can get through the entire room and down the hall without re-plugging.

There is only one con and that is that the Shark Rocket Complete with DuoClean Technology is very top heavy so if you have to stop mid-sweep, it won’t stand on it’s own. You have to lay it down or prop it against something. When storing, this isn’t much of an issue. You can either hang it up using the included mounting bracket or remove the motor part and clip it onto the pole near the bottom. There is a clip made on that lets it sit right there and it doesn’t fall over. Our walls don’t like to hold things, even with drywall anchors so I store mine by standing it up.

One thing I forgot to mention about the brushrolls is that they are very easy to clean. The top comes off and there is a little cleaning tool inside that can be used to remove any hair that get wrapped around them.

Sweeping with this vacuum is so easy. I gently pulls itself across the floor with the powerful suction and the wheels on the back let it swivel easily around furniture. Honestly, I can’t begin to tell you just how much stuff we’ve swept up in the last week.

I don’t plan on using this as my weekly, deep cleaning vacuum because I do like one with a bag that holds more at a time, but it is definitely getting a workout day to day with messes that the kids and pets (and Clay and I) make as well as spring cleaning all the other parts of the house where a vacuum will come in handy.

It is super powerful and is making Spring Cleaning a breeze!
