We love to walk around Gatlinburg when we go on vacation and most of the time it is sunny and hot. The sun tends to beat down on you while walking on the Gatlinburg Strip and sunglasses are a must. Due to allergies, I can’t always wear my contacts and plain sunglasses. I have a pair of prescription sunglasses that I take with me for days I’m wearing my glasses and not sunglasses but I don’t see with them very well. And they don’t really keep the sun out of the edges. I desperately needed a new pair of prescription sunglasses.

I chose the style Algernon Rectangle. Now, this particular style is labeled as men’s. But I have a large face and I can’t stand for sun to get in around the lenses because it distorts my vision. So I picked this style. It’s a rectangle style that covers more of my eye and isn’t large and round, although I also LOVE the Wayfarer styles they have too! I think they look great for both men women. *TIP: Don’t limit yourself to prescription eyeglasses labeled for specific genders.
The ordering process is so easy at GlassesShop.com. They have an upload feature so you can either upload a photo or use your webcam to take a photo and “try on” different styles to decide which you think look best on you. When you have chosen your favorite pair, add them to your cart. Then you can go through and add your prescription information. You can also pick out different features.
The glasses arrived quickly. They were clean and shiny and came with a cleaning cloth and carrying case. These particular sunglasses have fairly long arms and fit snug so they really stay in place when doing outdoor activities. The lenses are very black but don’t really distort colors like I thought they would. The prescription is exactly as I entered it and I can see perfectly through my new prescription sunglasses.
The frames are sturdy and don’t feel cheap or flimsy. They feel like they will hold up well to normal outdoor activities. I can’t wait to walk around Gatlinburg on our next vacation. YAY!
