I love wearing eye shadow and playing with different looks and application techniques. I like eye shadows that don’t settle into creases or fade after a few hours. I also like eye shadows that have great pigmentation and don’t require a ton of it to get a beautiful look. The Paula Dorf Aztec City Palette and Paula Dorf Teal Mascara are among my favorites.
The 5 shades, including a white, nude, browns and blue, are reminiscent of a desert sky and allow you to customize your look from subtle to bold.

Paula Dorf Teal Mascara
I have loads of loose eyeshadows but I really like it when I can find several colors in a small palette. That way, I can keep it in my makeup bag in my purse and have it with me all the time. If we’re out on a weekend and decide to go out to dinner or somewhere before heading home, I can apply it quickly and easily. The Paula Dorf Aztec City Palette makes that super easy because the compact comes with a mirror and a double-ended application brush.
The brush is really cool. One end is tapered so I can apply the darker shadow to my crease. It really picks up the shadow too. With it, a little goes a very long way. Then I can also use it to fan on the darker and medium shade to my lower lid and just above the crease onto my upper lid.
I use the bigger brush end to apply the white shade to my tear ducts and just below my brow line. This opens my eyes and makes them look brighter and more awake. I also used the larger brush to apply the blue shadow to my lower lid when I wanted it all over. For just a highlight along my lash line, I use the flat brush to apply a very thin line just above my eyeliner. I then apply a coat of Paula Dorf Teal Mascara to the tips of my lashes, over my black mascara. This helps makes the black liner pop just a little.
The Paula Dorf Teal Mascara is really pretty. Over my black mascara, it is very subtle and gives just a hint of color. Alone, it is a really pretty teal that isn’t overly bold or bright. The mascara stayed on nicely all day and didn’t smudge, run or leave me with raccoon eyes. It washed off very easily at night as well.
