I’ve been researching red light therapy for skin and have been wanting to find a good at home red light therapy to use. I’ve found it! I’ve been trialing the Solawave 4-in-1 Red Light Therapy Skincare Wand and Activating Serum kit and I’m really liking it!

What Is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is a treatment that may help skin, muscle tissue, and other parts of your body heal. It uses low levels of red light to target your skin and cells. It is thought to work by increasing the production of mitochondria, your cells’ energy sources. This may improve cell function and repair.

What Does The Solawave 4-in-1 Red Light Therapy Skincare Wand Do?

This particular at home red light therapy wand has 4 functions in 1 without needing to switch. It is all automatic when using the red light therapy.

Together, these functions help to visibly smooth fine lines, fade blemishes on the skin, boost your serums and creams, depuff the skin and promote glowing skin with a lifted and firmer look. In other words, it helps to fight against the signs of aging while offering beneficial boosts to the skin.

How Do I Use My Solawave Wand?

I use my Solawave Wand and Activating Serum in the morning.

The at home red light therapy kit comes with Solawave Skin Therapy Activating Serum. This is a Hyaluronic Acid serum with peptides and other skin boosting ingredients. Hyaluronic acid serums soak into the skin really quickly, especially when combined with the wand. It also helps give the wand some “slip” so it glides smoothly across your skin.

Because I only use one serum with the Solawave Wand, I prefer to use it in the morning for my at home red light therapy, before applying my makeup, to really help push the serum into my skin and boost its effectiveness. The warmth from the wand, along with the pulsating and red light, help to push the serum further into your skin, allowing it to reach deeper and work better.

I focus mostly on my cheeks, forehead and neck applying a little serum at a time and working in sections for 3 minutes at a time. Here’s a video showing how I use it.

Once I’ve used my Solawave Wand and Activating Serum, I apply my sunscreen and a little makeup. At night, I remove my makeup and do my nighttime routine. Together, these 2 routines are really helping the skin on my face look firmer, smoother and more hydrated!
