This month’s Simply Earth Recipe box is all about different and creative ways to diffuse essential oils. Did you know you can diffuse them in other ways than just in a plugin water diffuser? Yep, you can!
You guys, I was feeling so sad. Due to some personal issues, I’ve had to skip my May AND June Simply Earth Recipe boxes. It seems like there always something going on in this season of life.🥹🥴 I was disappointed, but I do have the ingredients already on hand to make most of the recipes, minus some of the craft projects for June. So I’m not feeling totally left out.
With that said, I do love that they have the option to skip a box(s) if need be. Next month, I hope to pick right back up with the July box. With that said, they have a blog, YouTube and a Facebook group I can still participate in and I can’t wait to learn some new ways to diffuse essential oils!

Ways To Diffuse Essential Oils:
- Electric Diffuser – you add water and essential oils to these and plug them into an outlet to diffuse the oils into the air. Some also have wicks that need to be changed
- Portable/Rechargeable Electric Diffuser – Similar to above but can be recharged and used cordless. Great for travel! I have one I take on vacation with us. It uses wicks as well.
- Car Diffuser – this can be a plugin in diffuser, vent clip or passive diffuser like one that hangs from your mirror
- Passive Diffuser – these can be ceramic, clay, wooden, felt, even cotton balls strategically placed in cute dishes. You just drop some oils on them and they scent the air as the oils evaporate
- Reed Diffuser – similar to a passive diffuser. The reeds go into the bottle of oils or a container with a mix of oils/carrier oil/water, etc and evaporate to diffuse
- Diffuser Jewelry – necklaces, bracelets, etc. These typically have a felt pad that you add essential oils to. You wear the jewelry and as the oils evaporate, you get the aromatherapy benefits. I have a bracelet one of our daughters gave me. My favorite EO to diffuse is peppermint oil. It calms my mind and helps to ease my anxiety. It is uplifting and immediately boosts my mood. I love wearing it when driving and to help with my anxiety when in crowds.
Bonus tip: Want even more ways to diffuse essential oils? Roll-ons, while typically considered a topical application, also work to passively diffuse essential oils! Yes, you’re wearing and absorbing them but they release aromatherapy benefits as they evaporate and you can smell them for hours. There are more ways to diffuse essential oils than you realize. Just think outside the box – but always use safety measures.
Available now, the June Simply Earth Recipe box comes with 6 recipes for creative ways to diffuse essential oils in your home, office or car. It’s an affordable way to learn to use your essential oils and comes with a guide to further your essential oil education.

- Venture Car Diffuser & Diffuser Blend

Which Recipe Am I Most Looking Forward To?
Usually, one or 2 recipes will really stand out and I’ll know right away I want to create them right then. The others, I’ll tend to make later in the month. This month, though, they ALL sound amazing and I can’t wait to try them all and learn new ways to diffuse essential oils! The items from June will be available for purchase separately in July or August so I can always make the kits then! For now, I can still get the recipes from their blog and use them in my plug in diffuser.
I’ve mentioned, before, that I have specific oils that I diffuse regularly, be it for allergies, air purification after illness, to brighten the mood, etc. After I said that, I got bored and decided I wanted some new recipes to try! Isn’t that always the way? Luckily, the June recipe box has everything I need to do just that! Even though there is a vent clip for the car, included in this month’s box, I also plan on hanging the tassel diffuser in our car when we go on our summer vacation this year. I can’t wait to purchase and make it! Heck, I may have some craft items laying around I can re-create it with!
Which recipe are you looking forward to the most?
Essential Oils In This Month’s Box:
- Timber – I have a bottle of Timber already and don’t use it often so I would actually replace this oil in my box. You can swap out oils you already have or simply don’t want for a small up-charge. I would swap Timber for more Citrus Burst for $2.
- Peppermint (Supreme) – see my Peppermint Cooling Spray recipe here
- Blood Orange
- Coriander
- *For brief safety information on these oils, look at the back of the recipe cards.
Extras Included In This Month’s Box:
- DIY Tassel Diffuser Kit – this recipe is also a craft! You get to make your own tassel diffuser!
- Aromatherapy Inhaler
- Car Diffuser Vent Clip – there are a few ways to diffuse essential oils in your car but a vent clip is a super easy way! You just drop oils onto a wick or the wood (if it’s wooden) and place it on your vent. The air flow will diffuse the oils into your car, leaving it smelling amazing!
