I love to make my own handcrafted soap but I have always wanted to try a Moroccan Black Soap. It is pure and natural and I’ve heard great things about it for years.
Disclosure: I received a complimentary sample of Zakia’s Morocco: Moroccan Black Soap with Argan Oil to facilitate my review. Additionally, affiliate links have been used in this post. All opinions are strictly my own and were formed through personal testing if the product. Your results may vary.
So I was thrilled to have the chance to work with Zakia’s Morocco on a review and giveaway. Note that when I do a review of a product I always share exactly what I think and only give my own, personal thoughts and results.

With that said…. I love this stuff!
There isn’t really a describable fragrance. I suppose I should say that it just smells like soap and Argan oil? It doesn’t smell bad. It just smells natural. It looks like goop in a jar but the stuff is incredible.
Typically, you would follow use of the Moroccan Black Soap with Kessa exfoliating glove. I don’t have one of those so I just used a bath pouffe,/loofah, soft exfoliating/nail brush, wash cloth and pumice stone. I use the pumice on the bottoms of my feet and gently on the backs of my heels and ankles. Using your fingers, scoop out a bit of the Moroccan Black Soap. Rub it into your legs, feet, hands or wherever you’re using it with a little water. It only has a slight lather so you’re not going to get big, fluffy bubbles. Instead you get a creamy light lather.
Let is sit for a couple of minutes. You’ll start to feel a slight tingling or cooling feeling. Then rinse and follow with your exfoliating device of choice. (wash cloth, Kessa glove, etc.) It rinses cleanly but the Argan Oil leaves a silky feel to your skin. Rub it in if needed.
After rinsing and gently exfoliating, my skin felt incredible! It was a little red from exfoliating but that quickly went away. Because my feet and knees are always so dry I tried it for 3 days in a week. I noticed immediate results but by day three my skin was so soft and silky without needing to use anything. I decided to start using it on my knees, elbows, legs and feet twice per week just to maintain the softness.
Zakia’s Black Soap is a 100% natural plant product. It is based on an olive oil pulp and is rich in vitamin E which is great for dry skin and moisturizing. Plus, it has the Argan Oil which penetrates your skin and leaves sort of a light barrier against dryness. So it sort of locks the moisture in.
I love Zakia’s Morocco products so much that next week, I have a review of Moroccan Ghassoul Clay Mask! Just to give you a heads up, it’s amazing!
