Every year, on Christmas Eve, Clay, the kids, and I open our gifts to each other and enjoy a candlelit dinner followed by Christmas movies and hot chocolate. We have a cat and a dog and having an open flame with candles always scares me. I never really liked having open flames around the kids, either, so I always use flameless candles. This year, I’m trying out really cool LED Flameless candles by Gemgo.
I received a complimentary candle to include in our 2016 Holiday Gift Guide. All opinions are my own.
This flameless candle, available at Amazon, is really neat it that it is made from real wax and not plastic so it is more realistic looking.
It is also very unique in that it has a 3D wick that moves around so it looks like a real candle flickering. There is a slight humming sound but it is so low that it isn’t noticeable in a room with people.
I’ve made a little video to show you what it looks like when it is turned on. I think will really set the mood this Holiday season during our candlelight meal!
These LED Flameless Candles come with a remote control and run on 2 C sized batteries.
There are 3 settings:
You can either turn it to “on” and just use the remote control when you want to turn the wick on and off or you can set it to “timer” and it will come on the same time each day, for 4 hours at a time. The timer is a great option if you use these LED Flameless Candles in your windows. You can have them turn on in the evening at a specific time, go for 4 hours and then turn themselves off.
I also like using the timer, with the candle on my shelf, to add some ambiance to the room. It looks so pretty! I’d love to have several of these throughout my home.
