It’s no secret that Clay and I follow the Christian faith. We don’t go to church regularly but that doesn’t mean we are Christians. I love reading my Bible and learning more about God and Jesus. I’ve always said that if I could go back in time I’d love to go back to when Jesus was a child. I’d love to see Him and learn more about His childhood. I’d love to meet Mary and Joseph and learn how they were as parents.
Surely, even with God guiding them, it must have been scary at times to know they were raising their future Lord and Savior! I know it would be for me. As a parent, it can be difficult to always put our trust in God when it comes to our children. I often wonder if Mary sometimes felt the same way. Did Jesus ever get sick as a child? Did He play and have friends like other kids? Did he get bumps and bruises and scraped knees? Was he ever scared of the dark? As a mom, I think of these things and I’d love to know.
There is a movie coming out called The Young Messiah that gives us a small glimpse into the life of Jesus Christ and his parents. Clay and I will receive a comp pair of tickets to go see the movie as well as another set to give away to one of our readers! This Easter is going to be extra special!
