When a child is sick or hurt, or even myself for that matter, they/we want comfort. Thermal-Aid Stuffed Animals Provide Comfort, Cooling And Warmth! These nifty little stuffed animals are therapeutic in that they can serve as both an ice pack or warm pack. And they are cuddly and cute to boot! So they’re great for kids who are sick or hurt.
Each of the Thermal-Aid animals are adorable! We received a full sized JoJo the monkey and a mini Tiny the elephant.
It can be used as a cold pack by placing in the freezer for 5 hours. It will then retain the coldness for a good length of time, soothing bug bites, swollen muscles, headache, etc.
For a warm pack, you just pop it in the microwave for up to 30 seconds, never longer. The warmth is great for when your having chills, the flu, earaches or just need something warm to snuggle up with. For instance, if your child has a bad dream, the warmth can help provide instant comfort and help soothe.
It’s great for a colicky baby too! Never leave a baby unattended and ONLY use at a safe warmth, but the warm Thermal-Aid animal, placed against baby’s tummy, can help relieve symptoms of colic. I know my babies loved a warm towel from the dryer rolled up against them. This works even better.
The Thermal-Aid stuffed animals are made of cotton and filled with a specially treated, processed corn that retains heat or cold, depending on use.
It comes in a variety of designs including:
BEARS:
- Honey
- Tumble
- Hunter
- Buckley
- Bella
VARIOUS ANIMALS:
- JoJo – Monkey
- Happy – Hippo
- Tiny – Elephant
- Ollie – Koala
- Baxter – Bunny
JoJo is great for larger areas like a muscle sprain. It has a little weight to it so it applies just the right amount of pressure, allowing it to sit well.
Tiny is a mini and it is great for earaches, migraines, insect bites, etc.
Suggested uses for Thermal-Aid Animals are:
- Sprains/Strains, Muscle Soreness
- Headaches/Migraines – I can attest to how well this works for headaches!
- Growing Pains & Leg Cramps
- Babies with Colic
- Earaches
- Bug Bites/Bee Stings
- Flu Symptoms
- Insomnia
- Sunburn – the cold pack will feel amazing on a sun burn
- Fever – cold pack works great on the forehead to help reduce temperature or warm if you’re having chills
I would recommend having a couple of these Thermal-Aid stuffed animals on hand so you can always have one in the freezer, one ready to be warmed and possible just having one to cuddle with! I like that they come in 2 sizes too. They work great for every member of my family!
