Hotel Transylvania is the funniest movie! My family, friends and I recently had a family movie night party and had a free screening (thanks to Crowdtap) of the movie Hotel Transylvania.

We fixed party snacks and decorated the house a little with leftover Halloween decorations. I put fake spider web on the curtains. We made Green Sludge Punch (recipe below). I couldn’t find lime sherbet so ours wasn’t very green but it was tasty regardless. We have these cute green Halloween cups and I set those out for the punch.

There were a couple of cute costumes to go along with the theme of the movie and then we all gathered on the floor  (couch for the old people like me, lol) with sleeping bags and our PJ’s to watch the movie.

It was being streamed so we hooked the laptop up to the TV and watched it. It buffered non stop but the movie was good enough that we really didn’t care! Everyone laughed their heads off. It was so funny. The ages in our set of family and friends range from 3 – 63 and I have to admit, EVERYONE loved this movie!

Ingredients  

  • 2 12 fluid ounces cans frozen limeade concentrate
  • 2 12 fluid ounces cans frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 2 2 liters bottles lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
  • 2 quarts lime sherbert

Instructions

  • In a large pot, combine limeade, lemonade with lemon-lime soda.
  • Mix in lime sherbet just before serving.

Notes

This GREEN SLUDGE PUNCH recipe is Dracula’s favorite drink to unwind with after a long day, aside from, you know, blood. Green Sludge is a great combination of sour and sweet. Serve in monster themed cups for an added bonus!

  1. try green jello (you can buy it at most grocery stroes) but instead of a bowl use a 9×13 pan and then u can use cookie cutters or even try cutting out the shapes. also gingerbread man id make them but wouldnt ice them (if there is goign to be kids you can set out decoration like gum drops and icing sprinkles) and they can decorate the cookies as an activity. this will look like the ginger bread man from the movie. Cuisine’s Own Gingerbread Cookie Recipe LEMON MERINGUE PIE MAPLE APPLE CAKE Ingredients: 5 to 5 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon cloves 1 cup shortening 1 cup brown sugar 1 1/4 cups molasses 2 eggs, beaten Directions: Preheat oven 375°F. Thoroughly mix flour, baking soda, salt and spices. Melt shortening in large saucepan. Cool slightly. Add sugar, molasses and eggs; mix well. Add four cups of the dry ingredients and mix again. Turn mixture onto lightly floured surface. Knead in remaining dry ingredients by hand. Add a little more flour, if necessary, to make the dough firm. Roll out on a lightly floured surface to a 1/4 inch thickness and cut out cookies with Metal Gingerbread Boy and Girl Cookie Cutters. Bake 6-10 minutes for small to medium size cookies and 10-15 minutes for large cookies. If you’re not going to use your gingerbread right away, wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate. Refrigerated dough will keep for a week, but be sure to remove it 3 hours prior to rolling so it softens and is workable. Serves 40 average-size cookies.
