Hair Loss Regrowth With The 90 Day Nioxin Challenge

This post is sponsored by Vocalpoint and Nioxin. All opinions are my own.

Hair loss. Uugh. Growing up, I always had really super thick, straight as a poker hair. It had to be thinned out before stylists could do anything with it. Rollers had to be piggybacked before giving a perm and then it would still come out stick straight. Crazy hair. Now, it’s not so thick. In fact, it’s thinning on the top. My dad is bald on top so… family history of thinning.

I don’t know if you can tell in these “before” photos or not but the hair in my crown and hairline has really thinned out.

  2. Last October I had an extreme medical scare with necrotizing fascitis – flesh eating bacteria. I had 4 surgeries in a week, almost died twice. With the extreme trauma to my body and system and numerous medications I was on for 6 mnths my hair began to fall out in literal handfuls. It’s a year later and my hair has not grown back at all. So thin on crown that scalp shows no matter how I part it. It’s frustrating because I used to have such thick hair and now it literally looks like straw. ?

  3. I am so self conscious of my super thin hair! I have to spend so much time trying to see the top and back of my head in the mirror to try and arrange my hair to cover my “just about bald” spots! My hair is so thin and so fine that no matter what I do, you can still see tons of scalp! I avoid having pictures taken because of how thin my hair has become in the front. If I’m out in the sun, I literally look like I’m bald! I would love to find a product that could help!

  4. I have horribly thin hair on the top and on the sides. I actually avoid taking pictures where the top of my head can be see. Every time I go to get my hair cut, my stylist tries to get me to try Nioxin, but I have never been able to afford it. I would LOVE to be able to try it out to see if this is something that will work for me. I’ve tried everything and, so far, nothing has helped.

  5. I’d love to try the products to see if they will help my very thin hair. It’s embarrassing for me and while my hair has been thin for years, it’s not something I can get used to.

  9. I’ve been dealing with hair loss for about five years. It was relatively slow for the first four, but then last August, I had weight loss surgery. At first, I thought I had escaped the additional hair loss that tends to come along with these procedures and was very happy. About three months after surgery, though, I started noticing hair everywhere. It was all over my clothing, my pillows, my bedding. The roller on my vacuum was getting bound up by hair getting wound around it. I’ve been taking biotin along with the rest of my vitamins, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference. I use shampoo, conditioner, scalp stimulator and pre-wash treatment specifically formulated for those suffering from hair loss. Once a week, I use a combination of coconut oil, argan oil, castor oil and an organic scalp stimulator oil as a deep conditioning. None of this has stopped the fall out much less helped my hair grow back. At 29, my hair is so thin that you can see my scalp. I’ve wanted to try nioxin for a long time, but I can’t afford it. I was very excited for the vocalpoint sample program, but was unable to get into it due to website issues. I’m hoping I can win this giveaway and give this stuff a try. I am not a vain person. I hardly wear makeup, I’m not afraid to be seen in my sweats. All of this, but my one thing…. the thing I allow myself to be vain about, to take pride in, is my hair. Losing so much of it has had a huge impact on my self-esteem. If I get to try this and it really works, it could help a lot with my self image.

  11. This is such a relief to hear other woman have the same problem. Since I had my son 9 years ago my hair has been thinning more and more each day. I have had many blood test done to try and find the problem to no avail. I’m very self conscious of the thinning hair. I have tried taking biotin supplements, some told me to increase my calcium, tried that, other say to take D vitamins. Tried that too and nothing seemed to work. I would love to try this. So I don’t have to be so self conscious when I attend my kids school events or leave the house.

  15. I too grew up with beautiful thick hair! Unfortunately I am taking a medication called Lupron and it has made me lose so much hair. The stress does not help either. I suffer terribly from Trichtillomania but have been doing very well lately! I heard about the Nioxin and was immediately interested! I pray that I can join you in taking this 90 day challenge. I am only 23 and not having much hair left has just totally broken me. I am ready! 🙂 good luck with your hair and the Nioxin!!!
