Back in 2015, we took the family to a beautiful farm/pumpkin patch in Corryton, TN: Oakes Farm. You can read more about our past visit here. While we were there we experienced their hayride to the pumpkin patch, the corn maze and all the fun activities for kids.
Clay and I had planned a visit, again this year, on our upcoming anniversary trip. Unfortunately, some things have come up and we won’t be able to make it to the farm.
I enjoyed the corn maze but my absolute favorite was the hayride! We all loaded up on a wagon, sat on hay bales and rode out to the pumpkin patch to select our pumpkins. It was an enjoyable ride that lasted a pretty good while to the patch and back. I’m sad we won’t be able to get out there this year. Hopefully next time.
When we were there, the kids, Clay and I each picked out a pumpkin. We had 6 large pumpkins to bring back to Kentucky! It’s a good thing we were in a van so we had plenty of room for all the goodies we bought that fall. We barely had room for ourselves! 😂
Oakes Farm has a lot of family-friendly, fun activities for the kids. They have, of course, the corn maze where you’ll make your way through, trying to find the way out. When we visited, I got lost! I’m glad Clay has a great sense of direction because I don’t think I would have ever found my way out. He led the way and saved the day and all was right in my non-directional world. hehe
If you’re looking for some outdoor fall fun, check out Oakes Farm when you’re in eastern TN. It is the perfect place for the family this fall!
OH and while you’re there, make sure you check out their gift shop for fall decor!
Have you ever been to Oakes Farm in Corryton, TN? What was your favorite part? If you haven’t been, you should totally visit if you’re ever in the area!
