We do a ton of dishes in this house. Let me emphasize that just a little. There are 6 of us on a daily basis. We have family gatherings almost every single weekend. We do a TON OF DISHES IN THIS HOUSE! We use paper plates and plastic cups during a lot of our family gatherings but there are still loads of cookware, serving utensils, etc. We make big, big, big meals. Our dishwasher really goes through it. Our dishes really go through it too.

My dishwasher is run at least once per day and on many days, twice or more. So it really gets a workout. And to clean my dishes, I want the best possible product there is without breaking the bank. I’ve tried cheap, generic dishwasher tablets and powders. I am usually a fan of generic. But in this case, you do get what you pay for. I ALWAYS use Cascade.  I’ve learned that I just am not saving money when I buy the “cheap stuff”. My dishes come out dirty. i have to either use more, run a second cycle because the entire load didn’t get clean or end up washing them by hand. I don’t have that problem with Cascade.

Rarely do I have to rewash a dish when I use Cascade. And even then it is usually caused by not getting the dishes loaded correctly and a glass turns upside down or something.
