It’s laundry day! WOO! YEAH! Ok, I’m really not that excited about laundry day. But it must be done. The kids, Clay and I need clean clothes. Clay needs clean work clothes and we all need clean bed and bath linens.
Also, when we got back from vacation recently I had a TON of laundry. I usually like to do it while we’re at the cabin but the pet-friendly cabin we rented this last time didn’t have a washer and dryer. So I had to wait until we got home. I had all of the clothes that we took and wore as well as a bag full of beach towels and swim suits from the hot tub. I also had a few blankets and pillow cases because the kids like to keep a blanket and pillow in the van with them while we’re driving. So I had a lot of laundry to do. You do what you gotta do. At least my house smells incredible on laundry days.
For washing, I alternate between using homemade laundry detergent and Purex depending on what I’m washing. It allows me to ensure each article of clothing or linens gets clean and looks its best.

We started doing this after we kept forgetting to pack them and had to buy new ones while on vacation. That was expensive! So, now we keep the extra set packed and still have a set for swimming at home. Anyway, when we go on vacation and open the swimsuit bag to get ready for the cabin hot tub, they’ll still smell fabulous!
