I’m older now and my idea of fashion has changed. I say stick with the classics and invest only in lasting designs. When buying something trendy or silly, go with copies and low budget then you won’t be heartbroken when you discard it.
Pretty much my usual fashion tip, stick with the classics!
Fashion, not too complicated, not too loud – just classic.
Simple flattering lines.
I like to add a lively scarf to a classic suit.
I too like a monochromatic outfit with a smart color scarf.
I always go for the classics that have great fabrics and clean well cut lines, then I add a little flair.
It’s ok to buy fad clothes, just don’t spend too much on them!
My fashion tip that I passed down to my daughter is to always have a white blouse and black or tan pants or skirt in your closet at all times. You never know if you need a classic look for a job interview, dinner engagement or function.
It’s always an upgrade to carry a nice purse (just sayin’).
Someone already said it somewhere, but always own at least one pristine white shirt.
I finally got the beige memo, it’s awesome looks more expensive than it is.
Don’t overdress for the wrong occasions!
If you don’t know what the female side of “black tie” or “formal only” means take the time to look it up.
Learn when “less is more” and when “more” is perfect.
A good pair of shoes or boots can go a long way towards making a so-so outfit something special.
I like having good clean lines and a smart cut.
Don’t be afraid to mix colors. Everything does not have to blend and match. Contrast is good.
I like to mix loud stripes with black or denim.
